Beauty || October Glossybox - Angel or Devil?

Every month another Glossybox arrives on my doorstep and I'm yet again encouraged to pop onto this little space on the internet to delve deeper into what it contains! That is until I remember how sucky my laptop was and how much of a task it was to actually upload images, write a post and hit publish! Well alas, I'm back with a brand new fully functional laptop raring to go! This months box is probably one of my favourites ever, and that's saying something considering there have been some crackers over the years!

So, this months box was, obviously, themed around Halloween with two options of box design - Angel or Devil. There must have been a mistake, considering I am always good as gold, as I was treated to the Red Devil box. Jokes aside, I love the styling of this box and the illustration on the lid looks great! This month I was treated to 5 full size products with an extra tasty treat thrown in for good measure.

First up is a gorgeous warm eyeshadow palette from the brand Stylondon. The palette consists of 9 buttery and highly pigmented shades. The colours range from browns and red with the most perfect base colour. The palette has two shimmery shades which would work perfectly with any look created. Next up is a Lord & Berry lipstick crayon in the shade Devil Red. I have used lipstick pencils before from this brand and have always loved the finish. The benefit of it being in a pencil form allows you to line your lips with the top end first then fill in quickly using the sides. I was excited to see a product from Bubble Tea inside this months box as it's a brand I have always wanted to try but just never got around to buying anything from. The product received is a foaming bath powder, whatever that means! I love a bath, so whatever it does is going to be perfect! Then I received an eyeliner from MCO Beauty, which I will be honest is probably the only dud product in the box this month. I don't ever wear eyeliner, so it's never a product I'm excited to try out. With that being said I know my brothers girlfriend will LOVE this, so it will be heading her way! Next is the Que Bella Beauty professional plumping gold peel off mask. I have never heard of this brand before but I am always game for trying a face mask. This one claims to exfoliate and remove dead cells, leaving you with brighter and more toned skin. This mask also includes real gold powder which is obviously the icing on the cake! The final gift in this weeks box was a Whittards Sticky Toffee Pudding White Hot Chocolate - YUM!

So that's everything from this month's Glossybox, I'm sure you would agree this box is by far one of the best yet and I am so excited to see what will be included in the next one!

That's me signing out for now,

Until next time

Christmas day OOTD- Blogmas day 23

Good afternoon!
I can't believe how close we are to Christmas! In the words of the Grinch, 'It's practically here!, and I couldn't be more excited! I have been out shopping lots recently trying to pick up some last minute gifts. I have also been on the hunt for a pair of sparkly tights that I can wear on Christmas day. You know when you have an outfit planned in your mind but can't find all the individual components to make up the look? yeah that happened. But I finally found them! This whole outfit came under £25 as well which is perfect! Let me know what you think of this look!

So these are the tights that I got from H&M for £7.99. I have literally been in the hunt for these for a couple of weeks now! I found these last week but then every H&M I went into they didn't have them in my size! So frustrating! But eventually I found them and I can't wait to wear them.

I have had my eye on this playsuit in Topshop for a couple of years now. They had a similar one last year in Black and Burgundy. I was never brave enough to invest £48 for one garment but after spotting this in the sale for £10 I knew I had to try it on. There was something different about this. I wouldn't have usually chosen such a daring colour, or even such a plunging neckline BUT it made me feel really special so I knew I had to get it! The back has a lovely lace design which is extremely flattering. The Lime colour also looks nice against my pale skin tone.

Finally I needed a plain black cardigan to finish off the outfit. I got this from primark for £8 and is a plain cardi with a scalloped edge. Its super soft and for primark is great quality!

I hope you enjoyed this blogpost!
I know that this outfit is a little different, but I am trying to go out of my comfort zone a little bit when it comes to putting together different outfits!

Let me know what you think!

Lots of love,

Christmas movie favourites - Blogmas Day 4

I am partial to a nice little cosy infront of the tele on a cold winter afternoon, hot chocolate in one hand, laptop on my lap and a great Christmas classic on the screen. Ok, in my world Christmas starts in October. Christmas movies are my most favourite thing. Every year I re-watch the classics as well as hunt for new ones. Here is my round up of the films you need to watch if you haven't, and re watch if you have!
 Enjoy!

Arthur Christmas
I feel like this film is really underrated. It was released in 2011 so is still relatively new in comparison to the other films listed below. If you haven't seen it then you have to. It takes the whole classic idea of father christmas delivering presents on a sleigh completely upside down. Its a great film, certainly a must see!

The Grinch
This goes down as my all time favourite christmas film. I can remember watching this film for the first time being the same age as Cindy Lou, and falling in love with everything christmassy. I even asked my parents if we could move so I could have a round window to sing 'where are you christmas' out of. It's one of those films that everybody in the family, all ages can watch and love.

The Polar Express
I only watched this for the first time a couple of years ago.. I know a shocker really isn't it! Still with that being said its a great film regardless. One of my favourite scenes is when they all receive their hot chocolate in a rather sing song manner. I am still waiting for this to happen!

The Santa Clause
Another fantastic christmas film. I love the sarcastic and witty comments throughout this movie. There is something special about the cute father and son bond which is often not seen in the majority of films.

Mr Poppers Penguins
Ok, so this film isn't particularly a christmas movie, but if you have seen it you would probably agree with me that its just so darn festive! Jim Carrey plays a posh real estate developer/ penguin father. Hilarious. another must see!

Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer
This movie represents my childhood. Every christmas eve I would go round to my grandma and granddads house with my cousins and watch this before going off to the local christingle service. It's a very old film, released 1998 to be exact, so the words don't always match the mouth movements but thats what makes it special. The songs are also quite reminiscing for me, so thats why I love it!

Hope you liked my little roundup!
Let me know what your favourites are!

Thanks for reading!

Lush Haul!

As soon as I heard the christmas products had hit lush I dashed for my local store and had to stock up. My local store has recently had a makeover and moved to a bigger location. This is BIG news to me as it is lucky enough to be one of the only stores outside of London that stock the special Oxford street products! I only bought three different bits but I have my eye on lots more that I know I will be going back for really soon!

 Snow Angel Bath Melt- £3.95

 Butterbear Bath Bomb- £1.95

 Frozen Bath Bomb- £3.95

Have you tried any of the new Halloween or  Christmas bits? Let me know what I need to try!
Have a lovely day!

Portugal OOTD 3!

Today was a bit of a different kind of day. We had planned yesterday that we were going to be going into Lisbon around 4 to do a little bit of exploring. This unfortunately didn't happen! My dad woke up with a really bad migraine so he was in bed for pretty much the whole day. Regardless of this situation I took the opportunity to have some more pool/lounging action. I totally see why people would want to live in a place like this! In the morning my mum and I went for a little explore of the near by town. I wanted to take some photographs and she wanted to get some bits for lunch. We came across this old wall which meant I of course had to use this as an 'Insta' op!

We took a cab into the nearest town Cascais to have some pizza and fun! It was such a windy evening that I was able to wear my trench coat! Anybody that knows me knows how much I love this jacket! I feel like it is the most perfect thing for this weather. It's super thin so is perfect for this type of weather. I went a little bit different with my hair and makeup. Because I had been in the pool all day and knew that I wanted to keep it out of my face I decided to do this dutch braid. Its so easy to do but looks like it took a lot of time and effort! It didn't.. haha! My shirt is from Zara. I bought this in Tenerife last year and it has a really flattering overlapped back. My crotchet shorts are from Topshop and I also got them last year. I have seen them in there this season though! I really recommend getting them! You can wear them with anything and everything! My sunnies are my classic black wayfarers from Ray-Ban. Finally my trench coat is from Topshop.

This pale blue bag is my favourite one to use at the moment. It is actually super cool! It can be used 3 ways. As a backpack, A handbag with one strap, or with two. It has a lot of space inside as well so is perfect for city trips. As like the rest of this week I wore my New Look sandals!

The restaurant we ate at was themed to feel like you were sitting in somebody's house. I had the most amazing Carbonara. When I say amazing I MEAN amazing! I think we are planning to go back there at some point next week!

I hope you are enjoying my little OOTD's lately! I have really been enjoying taking and sharing them with you all! The feedback I have received has been awesome! Hope you all have a lovely day!

Lots of Love,
