Lifestyle || *AD* Mother's Day shopping at INTU!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

Nothing makes me happier than making my family happy with little gifts. I enjoy shopping for them and try to match every purchase to what I think they would most want to receive. Mother's day is one of my favourite occasions in the year to spoil my mum. I'm so lucky to now be in the position to share some of my blogging love with my family, so was over the moon when INTU Lakeside wanted to work with me on this post. So if you're stuck for ideas, want a little bit of inspiration or are just generally nosey at what other's are buying for Mother's Day gifts then keep on reading!

I popped to my local INTU store down at Thurrock, Lakeside to discover all of the great gifting ideas the shops had to offer. Lakeside has always been my go-to shopping centre as it has every single shop that you would need under one roof. I picked the best day to go shopping too as the shops weren't packed which allowed me to mooch about at my own leisure (plus the free parking wasn't bad either!).

The first stop on my spree was Next. For those of you who might not know, I was actually working at Next this time last year, so I knew that they would have some great gifting on offer. My mum's favourite store is probably Next so I knew that whatever it was I chose was likely to be a hit. I decided before I went that I was going to try and put together a night in pamper set for her, so knew that Next would be my best bit for the key essential- pyjamas! After looking through the gorgeous selection on offer, and I mean absolutely beautiful pj sets, I decided to go with a pink patterned short set. With it coming up to spring/summer I thought these would be perfect for the warmer nights. This set was also only £12 which is amazing considering the quality. I also spotted this cute alternative option for a photo frame. My mum loves these kind of presents, she's all about a gimmick, and I thought it might be nice to pop in a picture of the two of us printed on my sprocket. This was £4 and is made from a great quality painted wood. Something nice to keep and the little clip makes it easy to swap in and out photographs!

It couldn't be a Mother's Day without a Lush product. I've bought the special 'Mother's Day' bath bomb for the last couple of years so was excited to see this in the store. I don't know if there's anything special with it, last year the bomb had a hidden 'MOM' note inside, but I thought it looked cute and my mum is definitely my super mum! Lush is always a great shop to go to for gifting and nothing makes someone happier than a bath product in my opinion!

Again, nothing say's Happy Mother's Day like a little trip to The Body Shop. I first discovered this scent when shopping for my mum a couple of years ago and it's been one she's loved ever since. There were a lot of options from TBS which would make for perfect gifting, including a couple of other sets including the same products as above in different scents. I was also very tempted to go ahead with the personalisation service of the 200ml Body Butters. If I had a little bit more time when I was shopping I would definitely have done this. The personalisation station at INTU Lakeside is there all year long, so if you're after a gift for any other occasions make sure you give them a visit.

When thinking of a gift for my mum's perfect pamper night, a book was top of the list. Nothing makes my mum happier than a great read. Mum's been a fan of JoJo Moyes for a little while now, so I thought I would treat her to 'The girl you left behind'. I've read a couple of reviews online so think this will be right up her street. On a more selfish note, thanks to purchasing this I am now only 2 stamps away from a reward from my Waterstones loyalty card. The INTU Lakeside Waterstones is also my favourite store ever. I love how big the shop is and the various chairs dotted around to chill out on. It's certainly a shop I would love to spend hours of my day in.

Finally I popped into Boots and visited the NYX counter. One thing my mum doesn't do very often is treat herself to new makeup. She also keeps on saying she doesn't own any good bits, so I thought that this little palette, highlight and lipstick set would help get her collection going. I have plans to show her how to use the palette properly, and I know she will be able to get a lot of use out of it.

Overall I was so pleased with everything I purchased for mum. INTU Lakeside had so many stores with fantastic products that it was difficult to narrow down exactly what I wanted to get for her. If you're able to visit then make sure you pop down soon to check everything out for yourself. I just wanted to again say a big thank you to INTU for working with me on this post!

I hope you're feeling a little bit inspired for Mother's Day gifting, I would love to know what you've decided to get that mother figure in your life to help celebrate their undying love and support!

Until next time,

*All items mentioned in this blogpost were purchased on a gift card that was sent to me for this post. As always all opinions and imagery are my own, and all wording is 100% mine and 100% honest :) x

Beauty || March Glossybox 2019

Guess what's back, back again, Glossybox is back, tell a friend!

I know you're probably going to say 'It didn't go anywhere?', which is true. But for me, It's been nearly a year since my last glossybox post. I stopped my subscription last February as it was becoming too much of an expense but have really been missing it. For my birthday my parents very kindly gifted me a years subscription, so I am VERY excited to have more of an excuse to try new beauty products again.

This month's box was themed around 'Empowerpoint', which was very apt considering it actually arrived on my doorstep on international women day! Inside the classic pink box, I received 4 full sized products and 1 deluxe sample. The first thing I was excited to receive was a Bellapierre cosmetics kiss proof lip cream in the shade Nude. I couldn't wait to try this one, and have already worn it out 2 times already. The colour pay off is amazing, and it settles smoothly to the lips without looking crackly. The next product was the Bybi beauty plumper lip balm. This lip balm is exactly what it says on the box. A plumping lip balm that leaves lips feeling smooth, soft and looking plump! Personally, I'm not a big fan of these balms but I can see why others love them so much. I think this might be re-gifted to a friend! Next is the Laritzy cosmetics dew pot in the shade Utopia. This little pot is a smooth and blendable highlighter that gives shimmer all day long. The rosy colour can be used on the cheek bone, brow bone and cupids bow to give a rosy lit glow. I think I might also use this as an eyeshadow, but we may have to see about that! The next product is something I am also very excited to try! Essence You Better Work makeup setting spray. I haven't really been using a setting spray since my Nyx one ran out in September, and thanks to the lovely UK weather haven't needed to worry about my makeup sweating off. With Summer pending, this spray couldn't have arrived at a better time. Essence is a brand I have loved for a while and thanks to the cheaper price point I hope I love this product too. Finally, the last product included was a Coconut Body Butter from The Body Shop. This is a product I've used in the past and know that I already love. This one has already gone straight into my gym bag.

So there we have it, March 2019's Glossybox. I would love to know if you're subscribed to any beauty boxes? If you are, let me know what you received in your March boxes and don't forget to leave links below for myself and others to check out.

Until next time
