Beauty : Primark Peach Palettes review

Primark have only gone and done it again haven't they! Honestly, the 'Just Peachy' eyeshadow palette and 'Cheeky Peachy' blush/highlighter set are now one of my favourite items in my makeup collection, and they were both only £4! Bang on trend as always, I spotted the new Peach range amongst the beauty section in the Oxford Street store and instantly fell in love! Along with the palettes, Primark have also launched nail, lipsticks and accessories products as part of the peach range. I love everything about these palettes from the shade range to the pigmentation, it seems Primark truly have catered these palettes to be the best they can be. So let's take a closer look...

First of all, can we mention how photogenic the Just Peachy eyeshadow palette is? Like seriously it's the prettiest palette I own. Alright, the face in the middle of the palette could be seen as childish, but personally I love it! Primark have included the perfect colour range with this palette featuring 4 matte and 5 shimmer shades that blend perfectly together to create many eye looks. My favourite shade in the palette is probably the middle gold in the bottom row. I combined this with the middle pink 'face' shade, top right dark pink, middle right orange tone and bottom left brown to create a gorgeous 'sunrise' eye look (Images at bottom of post). So let's just talk about the packaging. It reminds me a lot of the very first Kylie Cosmetics palettes which I really want to try at some point too! The cute little black and white polka dot print and wording of 'You're a peach' makes me love this palette even more, and I know I am going to be getting a lot of uses out of it this autumn. The only downside, which I think is worth mentioning although it doesn't really affect my opinion on it, is the lack of a mirror! So if you want to bring this away with you, you need to make sure you have a handy little compact free.

Next up is the Cheeky Peachy blush and highlight palette. When I made the trip to Primark I had my heart set on wanting to purchase the eyeshadow palette, but as soon as I spotted this sitting next to it on the shelf I knew it would be coming home with me too. This palette includes three shades to choose from. You have a light peach, almost gold, highlight on the left with the name 'Peach Twist'. A bold pink blush in the centre named 'Peachin' and finally a rose pink blush named 'Sweet Peach'. In terms of my makeup routine, I don't tend to wear blush on a daily basis. My cheeks tend to naturally blush which in this occasion has its benefits! I do wear blush if I am doing my makeup fully though, and know the shade 'Sweet Peach' will become one of my picks from this palette. The highlight shade 'Peach Twist' is also another one I am finding myself reaching for. The pigmentation is incredible and it looks perfect on the top of the brow bone and in the corners of the eye. The packaging of this palette matches 'Just Peachy' and features a cute saying of 'You're making me blush' which I think is really nice to include. The smiling face is included in all of the shades in this palette, which again I don't mind and love how it adds a little bit of character to it. The only negative of this palette for me is how bright the middle shade is. I don't really see myself being able to pull of the shade. With that being said, I am thinking about using it as an eyeshadow shade so will let you know how I get on with that if I do!

So this is the finished makeup look using both of the peach palettes. I am really pleased with how everything turned out and can't wait to use the palettes again. The palettes are both priced at £4, but personally I would have paid atleast £6 which is saying something!

Have you tried out any of the peach products from the Primark range? What are your thoughts on them? Are you as blown away by them as me! If you would like to see any other makeup looks using this palette then let me know, I am thinking about using this palette to do my makeup for my graduation!

Until next time,

Beauty : Glossybox October 2017

As soon as I saw the theming for this months Glossybox I was praying that I would receive the Mermaid box, and I wasn't disappointed! As excited as I was to get the Mermaid design, I did think it was a little bit of an odd theming considering October is the month of Halloween. With that being said this month's box did not disappoint and I can't wait to share with you all what I got inside. The idea behind the October box is the magical way makeup makes you feel, hence the Mermaid vs Unicorn box designs. This month's box includes four full sized products, which is always a lovely thing to receive!

This month's box design matches the Mermaid theme completely. If you have read any of my other Glossybox reviews (I have been doing them for over a year now - crazy!) then you know how much of a fan I am of the classic pink and black design. Every now and then Glossybox decide to switch it up with the box design and this month's box is one of those occasions. The October design is a gorgeous purple/blue Mermaid inspired box with foiled writing on the top and sides. I usually save my boxes and put them away as storage, but this box is going to stay out because quite honestly it is stunning!

So let's take a look inside...

Makeup Revolution Mermaids Vs Unicorns Eyeshadow Palette | £4 | Full Size
If I was to have spotted this palette in the shops I probably would have lusted over it then placed it back on the shelf with the realisation I would never be able to pull off any of the colours included. This palette includes twelve dreamy, colourful and shimmery shades which is designed to unleash your creativity. As someone who sticks to more of a neutral eye, this palette scares me! I have never really tried creating a green or blue eye look but really cant wait to give this a try. The pigmentation of the shades in this palette are better than I thought they would be for such bright colours. The first six 'Aqua' shades are extremely pigmented and creamy. The final darker shades are equally as pretty, but are less pigmented and more chalky when swatched. The light lilac purple in particular comes out looking very patchy so would have to be packed onto the eye.

Sleek Makeup Crème to Powder Blush in shade 078 French Rose | £5.99 | Full Size
This product was one of the most exciting items in this month's box for me. The idea of a product going from a cream to powder definitely sounds magical! Once applied to the cheeks the cream sets into the skin and transforms into a light powder which truly lasts the whole day. I mentioned in my last blogpost that I am not a big fan of blush usually, but love how subtle this shade is.

Kawaii Enterprise Brush Cleansing Egg | £7.99 | Full Size
I love these cute little brush cleaning eggs! I actually purchased a cheap one online a couple of months ago and find it makes my whole brush cleaning routine so much easier. I love the aqua colour, and how comfortable it is to use.

Lord & Berry Magic Brow Perfect Eye Brow Pencil in shade Brunette | £14
I love brow products, especially when they claim to be perfect! I was sent the shade Brunette which isn't really the right shade for me, however it is completely workable and blends nicely into the brow to fill in sparse areas. The pencil itself has a variety of colours which adds to make the brow appear more natural. If only this shade was in my colour!

Bang Beauty Cream Colour in shade Dolce Pink | £19.50 | Full Size
This product is a full purpose cream that can be used in a variety of ways including the lips, eyes, cheeks, blush and even highlight. They recommend to use this product on your finger tips, although they also note it applies nicely with a brush too. I love it when a product can be used for a variety of different things as it makes it amazing for on the go. Personally, I think this shade would look really pretty on the eyes and I can't wait to try it out properly!

One little extra in this month's box was a 'Half Mermaid' clear plastic sticker with a Aqua blue shine. Being someone who is obsessed with swimming, I love this added extra! It's currently on the back of my phonecase looking gorgeous, and I can't wait to show it off!

So there we have it! This month's October Glossybox did not disappoint and I loved the whole theming and products that were included. I would be interested to know if anyone got the Unicorn box this month, and if you did what was included?

Thanks so much for reading!
Until next time,

Beauty : 3INA - It's all about the eyes

It's always an exciting day when packages arrive randomly in the post. It's even more exciting when these packages turn out to be full of amazing new makeup! The 3INA (pronounced MEE-NAH) cream eyeshadow has become one of my go to products when creating a long wearing makeup look, so I was really excited to try out more eye products from their new range.

The four products that I was sent to try are in the perfect autumnal shades which meant I have been able to have a proper try of them in the makeup transitional period!

The Eyegloss shade 503 | £9.95
I have seen so many bloggers using eye glosses over the last couple of months and, if I'm being honest, I didn't really understand the whole attraction of it. To me the concept of having something glossy on the eye doesn't sound like a great idea. I have tried this product on a  couple of occasions now to really test how it works. I don't hate this product, but I don't really love it either. The shade itself is a gorgeous cranberry and the applicator makes it easy to apply to the lids. I just couldn't handle my hair getting stuck in my eyeshadow, and as someone who isn't a massive fan of lip gloss either I'm not sure this product is for me!

The Duo Eyeshadow shade 602 | £10.95
This eyeshadow combines two beautifully paired shades in one little handy compact. The shades can be applied dry for a natural look, or applied wet to add a little bit of impact. Initially the cranberry shade scared me a little as it's often a colour I stay well clear of in my other palettes. This palette is really something a little bit different to other shades I have tried in the past, so it's a big thumbs up from me!

The Eyebrow Kit shade 402 | £15.95
This kit is claimed to be your 'one stop go to' for defining and framing your brows. The handy little compact comes with a powder, wax, tweezers and two applicator brushes. When it comes to doing my brows I can be quite lazy and opt for a eyebrow mascara or a pencil. Basically any product that I can use quickly to do my brows in the little time I allow myself in the mornings! I love how my brows look when using a kit like this, so I am glad that I had the chance to try this out. My only criticism of this compact, which isn't really a criticism, is that the brushes are absolutely useless for defining anything. Personally this wouldn't be an issue for me as I don't tend to do my makeup on the go, but it would deffo be a problem if you do.

The Gel Eyeliner shade 801 | £9.95
'The Gel Eyeliner has a creamy texture that applies effortlessly and precisely framing eyes with highly pigmented colour. Doesn't smudge and doesn't fade'. All of these claims are true, and this eyeliner is now my absolute go to in my makeup collection. Eyeliner is always the one makeup step that I tend to go without, as I am absolutely useless at applying it. I have tried it all, pencil and brush but I just suck! Using this product with a small brush has made a big difference to me as you can slide it onto the eye quickly to create smooth lines. A BIG thumbs up!

Overall all of the products work amazingly on the eyes and have all become major parts of my routine, especially the cranberry eyeshadow which is something I never thought in a million years I would say! For me the eye gloss is the only product that I have hardly touched and will most likely be giving away to a friend.

Let me know what you think of all the products mentioned above, or if you would like to see a makeup look using the cranberry eyeshadow palette?

Until next time,

*All the products mentioned in this blogpost were sent to me by 3INA to try. As always the photographs, opinions and wording are 100% my own and are 100% honest.
