London Fashion Weekend Part Two!

This Post is going to be based all about the fashion catwalk show hosted by the OUTNET at London Fashion Weekends opening night. There were four different looks, Precious Metals, Flower Power, Lace Embrace and Good Sport. I took ALOT of pictures of my favourite looks, so I hope you enjoy this mini mid-week post! There is one more post coming soon with what I got from the various shops!

I had really good seats for the show and was really impressed with everything from the champagne on arrival to the kinder bueno when departing!

London Fashion Weekend part one!

On Thursday I was lucky enough to go to London Fashion Weekend with my mum. I was bought the tickets for my birthday which is tomorrow (24th February). If you have seen my tweets this past week you would have noticed an on going theme of everything LFW related so being able to attend the first night special catwalk show with the outnet was really exciting for me. As soon as we arrived and collected our goody bag (designed by Julien Macdonald) we entered and started the long walk around somerset house and all of the rooms filled with designer goodies.
Being a student and not having any income in my account from work I didn't have a lot of money to be spending but browsing was just as fun as I was able to spot some trends to look out for and wear during the next season. Lets just say Sports is in, as is cream colours and lace!

One item me and my mum bought was a set of nail varnish's from Essie. Essie were also doing a complimentary manicure with a purchase of their new sets. (I will be uploading a post soon with everything that we got from the day!)

Hope you enjoy looking at some snaps that I took of the day, and look forward to the post coming on Wednesday.

London Fashion Week Nails!

If you follow me on twitter you may have seen the picture above that I posted on Thursday night. Painting my nails on a regular basis is not an unusual thing to me, but this little mani is probably one of the favourites that I have done recently! It is super easy to do and does not need much explanation. What you need is a Silver polish or nail art pen. A Burgundy red colour and final a top coat glitter polish.
First of all you have to paint your nails with a top and base coat and once dry paint a coat of the burgundy colour. Once they have dried create a V line of dots on the bottom half of the nail. If you don't have a dotting tool you can use a tooth pick, or the rounded end of a pin poked into a pencils rubber. Once this has dried you simple paint the top half of the nail with the silver glitter polish.

I hope you liked this nail design. As I said it is one of my favourites for sure, and I have kinda based my fashion week outfit around this design! Let me know what you think of this nail look!

London Fashion Weekend!

London Fashion Weekend

Sorry for not posting on Sunday but I had a huge deadline that I needed to complete and now I have managed to get the flu! Due to this I am bed bound, but alas I am not letting that stop my excitement for London Fashion Weekend! I go every September and after getting a letter through the post giving me 25% off tickets and a glass of bubbly at the door I knew I had to go! Here is my simple guide of what I feel are must haves for the day!

Firstly seeing as it is still very winter, and still very cold in London layers are essential. From past experience I know how hot it can get when walking around somerset house so being able to put on or take off a jumper/jacket is the best thing. For me I am the most comfortable in a pair of thick leggings. I own THIS pair from Next and have been super impressed with how comfy they actually are. I am not the kind of person who wears leggings on their own as trousers, I usually dress them up with a long top or dress.

The next thing that I feel is a must have is an oversized jumper with a simple tee underneath. Oversized jumpers are perfect to glam up any outfit as they look effortless yet stylish at the same time. I have one from Zara which is black and white strapped that is perfect for styling with a pair of leggings. Finally a leather jacket doubles up as stylish and comfortable. I love how a leather jacket can edge up a look whilst still doing the job of keeping you warm!

For a bag you need something big enough to keep your camera in as well as other essentials such as a purse and phone. A classic black bag with a long strap is perfect for throwing over your shoulder as it keeps it out of the way but still holds all of the necessities.

Finally a good pair of shoes are essential for comfort. You can go for a pair of classic wedges OR my personal favourite a pair of Doc Martens or other worker style boots. I love the pair above from Next.

Hope this gives you a little bit of an idea of what I am going to wear and I hope you look forward to seeing some posts with pictures next week!

January Favourites!

Can you believe that it is already the end of January and beginning of February. I know I can't. The start to 2014 has already been incredible and I haven't even started back at university yet! (crazy I know!)

This month I have tried out some really great products and have even rediscovered some of my old favourites!

First of all this month was the month that I bought my first ever real techniques brush. If you had seen my twitter post (@bellamomentox) you would have seen my tweet of help of which brush should be my first and some people recommended this one to me which was what I got. The Expert face brush makes applying liquid foundation so much easier and I have found myself wearing liquid foundation more because of this. I always hated that some foundations were 'obvious' on my face and have been trying to find ways to solve this problem and this brush has done exactly that for me. I also love the nude magique eau de tent by l'oreal paris. This little duo is definitely going to be part of my daily make up routine now.

I was lucky enough to be given the Snow Fairy magic wand by lush for christmas and I have nearly used it all up already. It is one of my ultimate favourites from lush and I am ready for my backup to be used soon! It smells like candy and sugar and basically all of my favourite things compacted into one cute size star. When I was in the shop they said that all you have to do is swirl it around the bath a couple of times and then you will get some bubbles. This is definitely not the case. I have to hold it under the tap for about a minute or two to get maximum bubbles but the idea of it in a whole is great!

Something else new this month and featured in my previous superdrug haul post is this gorgeous dark pink/brown colour. This is part of the Little Mix collection with collection makeup and is Jades colour. I love how well this applies to the lips without having to moisturise and it stays on the lips without smudging or bleeding which is always a bonus.

Another lip product I have been loving is pretty boring. Vaseline. I have always had a love hate relationship with Vaseline as I never liked the taste it used to leave if you accidentally got it in your mouth. Also the pot is rather annoying as you have to make sure you wash your hands before use. I have been applying this after my bath and before I have gone to bed and love the results I have got. This is the Aloe Vera lip balm and it works a treat.

My favourite scent of the month has to be my Marc Jacobs Honey perfume. It is such a sweet and fruity scent which is what I really love in a perfume. I have been wanting this perfume for a while and was lucky enough to get it for christmas. The packaging of the perfume is just so gorgeous and it looks so decorative on the side of my dresser.

A random favourite this month is a movie. I have been loving Despicable me 1&2. I bought my brother the DVD for christmas and think I have watched it even more than he has. It is such a childish film but the jokes are relatable and funny for all ages I feel. I watched this with my little cousins and they are in love with the minions which is always a bonus!

Let me know what you have been loving in the month of January down below!
Have a great week!
