Beauty : April Beauty Favourites

I can't quite believe that we are nearing the end of April. These past few months have been so busy with university work that they seem to be flying by! Talking of university, it's crazy to think that in the matter of a week I will finally be finished with education forever! Education and I haven't really been the best of friends, although I'm sure that's a story I should save for another time.

This month I have been using a variety of different products from old favourites to new loves! With the recent change of weather, we all know how long that isn't going to last!, my makeup has also changed and I have been favouring the more orange toned eyeshadows. I have also changed how I have been applying my makeup, making it feel lighter and less heavy on the skin. Anyway, here are a few of the products I have been reaching for a lot this month!

Primark Lip Kits
If you didn't see THIS blogpost, then you may not know about these lipsticks. Primark have really started to make their own little mark in the beauty world recently and a lot of their products are quickly becoming blogger favourites! I have tried two of the four colours, but this shade (Cookie Dough) has been my go to this month and I have been reaching for it more than my MAC and Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks! The formula is perfect and doesn't leave your lips feeling dry or patchy. I love that I can apply this in the morning before uni and know that it will still be there when I get home, it's honestly that good!

Too Faced Peach Palette
It's probably no surprise that this palette is making an appearance in this favourites post! Out of all the eyeshadow palettes that I own, this peach palette is the one that I have been using the most. I have been loving using this to create a gorgeous peach eye for both daytime and evening looks. Every shade within the palette is really pigmented and are really easy to blend onto the eyes. Oh and the peach smell is a bonus too!

Victoria Secret PINK Body Lotion
Ok, so I have been OBSESSING over this body lotion this past month. I was kindly given this as a gift from my mum and dad for my birthday and have loved it ever since. I have been applying this after my bath/shower and feel like it leaves my skin feeling moisturised for a really long time. It also has a vanilla scent which smells really comforting. You can also get a body spray version of this product which I also have and love to use them together! Plus, how cute does the matte pink packaging look.

Boots Witch Hazel Stick
So this product is one that I have heard a lot about, tried in the past, but always forgot to repurchase! The idea behind it is you apply the clear cream on spots or blemishes during the day, and then apply the other cream on the blemish area's during the nighttime. Being a big night time sudocreme fan, I can't really comment much on the night side of the product, but the daytime one tingles a little when you apply which makes me feel like it's doing something! I have noticed a visible difference from the start of the day to the end when I have used this product, so I will continue to use it and let you know how I get on!

NYX Matte Finish Setting Spray
This product has made its return in my life thanks to the summer weather! I used this spray throughout the summer last year and loved how it made my skin feel. To use the product you do your face makeup as usual and then when finished mist the product in an S motion to set it. I love this product and it really does the job, although I don't tend to use it if I am using my powder foundation for obvious reasons!

Real Technique Stippling Brush and Setting Brush
I mean this wouldn't really be a favourites post without including a Real Techniques brush right!? After receiving the huge gift set of brushes at Christmas, I have been trying them all out deciding what products I prefer to use them with. To apply my foundation I have been using the Stippling brush in circular motions. I found that this was the best way to get an even coverage and it blends the product nicely into the skin without picking up to much on the brush. I have also been using the small Setting brush to wipe off the powder in the under eye area when setting my skin. Plus, these brushes are so SO soft - double bonus!

Collection Sheer Loose Powder
I know I am well behind the times with this favourite, but this month I finally decided to try out  the baking trend! I have seen lots of different bloggers writing about how amazing this collection powder was so thought I would get it and give it a go. I am so impressed with the result it gives to the skin, and can't believe that I haven't tried it before! This powder can also be used as a base product, so it's not fully translucent. I haven't used it as a base yet though, so can't give my opinions on this but stay tuned!

Those are just a few of my favourite things from April! My list could be SO much longer, but I decided to keep it short and edited! Let me know if you love any of these products too!

Until next time,

Beauty : Glossybox April 2017

Another month, another Glossybox!

This month has been so busy with university work that I haven't had lots of time to go out shopping and browsing the makeup stands in boots and superdrug myself, so I always look forward to receiving my little box in the post! The theme of April's box was multi-tasking, which couldn't have come at a better time with my deadlines! This month's box was also in my favourite styling, the classic pink and black colour scheme. So, let's take a look inside...

Elgon Deliwash Cleansing Conditioner - RRP £14.50
The first product I received this month was the Elgon Cleansing Conditioner. In my house, conditioner is like gold dust, it always seems to go really quickly! I haven't heard of the brand before but love the idea behind the products. This conditioner can also be used on its own or with an accompanying shampoo. I love that this is a 2 in 1 product, and can't wait to give it a proper try soon!

Model Co Contouring Stick - RRP £17
This product was one of the sneak peaks in last months box so I was excited to try it out. I have only used a few contouring sticks like this in the past and have found them awkward to use on my skin tone. The shade of this product isn't as scary to use, and I have actually used it a couple of times already on my cheeks. The product description states that you can use the contour stick to define the jaw and nose as well, although I don't think I am brave enough to try that out yet!

SportFX Definition Duo Eyeliner Pencil - RRP £9.99 *FULL SIZE PRODUCT*
This eyeliner was one of the full sized products that I received in the box this month. My first impressions of it are really positive. I love the packaging and the concept of having the two different eyeliner choices in one. When swatching the product, the colours aren't as dark as I thought they would be which I personally love. The product description also states that you could also use the brown pencil to define the brows so I guess this makes it a 3 in 1 product. The product is also waterproof so would be perfect to use at the gym if you wanted, although I reckon it will be perfect to use on holiday. Stay tuned!

Merci Handy Cleansing Gel - £2.90 *FULL SIZED PRODUCT*
I love a hand sanitiser and always make sure I have one on me whenever I leave the house. I actually have one in my car at all times! I have tried the Merci Hand gels before so knew what to expect from them and was equally as impressed!

Rodial Glamolash Mascara XXL - £24
I was really excited to see a mascara in this months box, especially one that claims to give you BIG lashes without having to actual apply lashes! With that being said, I am yet to try this out as I have a couple of mascara's already on the go. Once I have given it a go, I will report back!

Overall I am really impressed with everything that I received in this months box. Sadly, I think I will be unsubscribing from Glossybox. I have really enjoyed trying out the new products each month but am finding it an expensive thing to do when I am not always happy with everything I get. Hopefully once I have a full time job, and have finished university, I can restart it again!

Until next time,

Beauty : Primark Lip Kits!

I haven't been this excited to share a makeup product find since I purchased my Tarte palette last year! If your on the hunt for the perfect matte liquid lipstick then this post might just be for you...

As soon as I saw these little beauties on the Primark snapchat I knew I had to head straight to my local store in the hunt of them. My local Primark has recently changed its beauty section and has a lot more to offer than it has ever before, so I was really happy to see the Lip Kits there for sale. As far as I could see, Primark currently only have four Lip Kits on offer, 2 Matte's and 2 metal's. Although I reckon they will be extending this range with different colours soon, at least I hope they do! Since trying my first ever Kylie Cosmetics Lip Kit my obsession with matte lipsticks has been unreal, and I prefer to wear them than a glossier finish on an everyday basis. Incase you hadn't read my previous Kylie Cosmetics post (check that out here!), the cost of purchasing the products from the UK can end up being really expensive, so finding this in Primark for £3 is amazing. With it being £3 I kind of imagined that it wouldn't be as amazing as I would have hoped it to be, but I have been pleasantly surprised.

Now I know what we're all thinking, are they any good to be a dupe of Kylie Cosmetic lip kits? In my honest opinion, yes! I've been wearing the shade 'Cookie Dough' for the past two weeks and have been preferring it over the shade 'Candy K' from Kylie's range. Likewise to Kylie's Lip Kits, Primark's products come in a cute little white box with the shade name on the top in a corresponding colour to the product. There is also a image of lips wearing the lipstick shade on the front as well. Inside, the products are secure in plastic packaging which helps everything look really presentable.

The two shades I went for were 'Cookie Dough' and 'Molten Lava'. 'Cookie Dough' is a really pretty everyday nude colour in a matte finish. The finish is really comfortable when being worn and the liner applies smooth without needing much effort in application. The pencil and lipstick are perfectly matched which is always a good thing. The only thing I was worried about with the product being so cheap is how long it would last. Not wanting to be too controversial, but I find that it lasted a lot longer than 'Candy K' which came at a big surprise to me!

I also wanted to get a Metallic Lip Kit as that is the only thing from Kylie's lip range that I am yet to try. Out of two colours, I chose 'Molten Lava' which is more of a nude/pink metallic shade. I have worn this both on its own and on top of other lipsticks to try it out! Personally I don't think I would be brave enough to wear this on its own to somewhere other than a festival. But on holiday I think it would look really pretty smudged out on the lips. Another place it looks pretty is dabbed onto the centre of the lips as it adds a little bit of highlight and definition.

So my final thoughts are that these Lip Kits are a must have for your make up collection! I am really hoping that Primark decide to add more shades to the range, as I imagine they will also be a best seller!

Have you tried any of the Primark beauty products? What do you think of these Lip Kits, will you be trying them? Let me know!

Lifestyle: JewelleryBox.co.uk Review*

Last week I was contacted by the lovely Mari at JewelleryBox.co.uk, who asked if I wanted to try any of the pieces from their online store. After browsing the website for a very long time, trust me they have so many gorgeous pieces it's hard to choose your favourites, I selected a few bits that I wanted to try out.

First of all, I need to mention the gorgeous packaging that the products come wrapped up in. The bracelets that I received came in a small brown box tied with a piece of string. This makes for the perfect presentation and also doubles up as gift wrapping! The earrings came in a tiny brown box with lots of protective filling so nothing could be broken during shipping.

The first thing that caught my eye on the website were these gorgeous little rabbit earrings. Rabbits are by far my favourite animal so I knew that I needed these! Plus, with it being easter soon I thought they would be the perfect Easter Sunday earring! They are the perfect size to wear everyday and are really comfortable too.

Next, I chose these simple rose gold studs. Everyday I wear the same plain gold studs so wanted to choose something thats a little bit different. Rose gold is probably one of my favourites when it comes to jewellery and I thought they would match my rose gold Olivia Burton watch perfectly.

Then I decided to look at the bracelet section of the website. There are literally hundreds of gorgeous bracelets to browse through. The website offers lots of different jewellery for different occasions which is great. First of all I spotted this gorgeous gold star bracelet. I loved the simplicity of it and thought it would make the perfect gift for my little cousins birthday. I know she is going to love it!

Finally, I thought I would chose a bracelet to match the rose gold earrings and decided that this arrow style looked really dainty and pretty. Again this matches my watch perfectly and it fits perfectly on my wrist.

I am really pleased with the bits of jewellery that I received as well as how quickly and secure the shipping process is. I know that I am going to go back and look for other bits as the pieces make the perfect gift!

Have you tried any products from JewelleryBox.co.uk? I would love to see what you got if you did!
