It seems that everyone and their mum is talking about the Too Faced Sweet Peach palette recently, and I am so excited to finally be one of them! I have had my eye on this palette for months, and every time it came back into stock at my local Debenhams I was never quick enough to get my hands on it. That was until my birthday last month when my aunt, like the superstar she is, managed to hunt one down and gave it to me as a present.
First things first can we just talk about how cute the packaging is?! It looks so simple, yet the colours and peach graphic stands out perfectly. I have read comments online that this palette looks childish, which I totally get, but I personally really love it! As soon as you open the box you can start to smell the palette. As the box says, this palette really does smell like peaches, although the smell doesn't linger for long and theres no scent when applied to the eyes!
The colour selection is probably one of the main reasons I wanted to try this palette over Too Faced other popular 'Chocolate Bar' palette. This palette includes 18 shades of peachy pinks, corals, bronzes and purples, basically every colour you need to create any look required. I love having palettes that can transition your makeup from day to night, even if I will rarely do this it's nice to have the option. There are 12 shimmer and 6 matte shades in the palette, all of which blend gorgeously together to create the perfect eye look. The palette also comes with a little booklet that shows you 3 looks with 3 steps that you can create in 3 minutes. I'm not sure whether perfecting an eye in 3 minutes is something that I am capable of doing, but I have certainly tried to give it a go. At the moment I have only been brave enough to use the more peachy pink shades, but I am hoping to use that gorgeous olive green one day soon!
So my final opinions on this palette are all positive. The many times that I have used this I have found applying my eye makeup simple and easy. The eyeshadows themselves are really pigmented and once blended out onto the eye stay put from morning to night. Priced at £39, this palette is certainly not on the cheap side but if your wanting to treat yourself to something special then it is completely worth it, plus there are certainly colours that will suit any skin tone and eye colour too.
Eye look created by using the shades 'Peaches 'N Cream' all over the lid, 'Cobbler' in the crease and outer corner then finally 'Bellini' in the centre of the eye. |
