Primark Haul!

Recently I popped into Primark in my town with the idea to 'browse' and get some 'inspiration' into what I want to buy when my student loan comes in next. Of course with Primark I found everything that I have ever needed in life and more. Ok so that may be a little bit of an exaggeration seeing as I only bought four things but still!

The first thing I bought were these pair of shorts. They have an electric blue trim and have a black and white geometric print all over them. The fabric is really light and thin, but not thin enough to be see through! So I know they will be perfect for summer! I wanted a pair like this last year and couldn't find any that I liked so when I found these I had to buy them before I couldn't ever find them again! They were £4 and I think are an absolute bargain for the quality of them! I have never seen them in Primark before so think that they are part of Primark's new collections!

This is another example of something that I did not need. This is a phone case/wallet/holder that comes with a strap. I bought this with the idea that I could put my phone, oyster card, id and student card in it so when I travel each day on the train everything is in one place. The strap on the side is also perfect as I  can wrap it round my hand then put it in my pocket at times when I want to make sure I defiantly have it on me. This was also £4 and I got it in the pretty brown wooden colour.

The final two things I bought were these two statement necklaces. I am probably too late on the trend with this one but I have never bought into the oversized necklaces style. I saw these and thought they were too cute to not buy. The first one is a cute flower necklace with a pale pink middle section and a gold chain. This one cost £4 and is super summery! The second necklace is a black gold bunting necklace. This cost £3 so was cheaper than the first one but I think it looks equally as pretty. I have worn this once with a plain t-shirt and loved how it glam'ed it up without being too over the top which was the worry I had when buying them.

I hope you enjoyed this style of post. Being a shop a holic that I am there will probably be more coming soon! Let me know what you have bought recently in the comments below and talk to you soon!

Bye!

Spring nail varnish collection!

The other day was the beginning of spring and in celebration of that I thought I would share some of my favourite spring polishes which will be replacing some darker colours!

First of all, I just want to mention a top and base coat that I have been really loving recently. I bought Essie's grow stronger base coat and good to go top coat, after having it put on at LFW. I was really surprised how long the polishes lasted with these products so thought I would give them a try myself. They really haven't let me down and are a great foundation for any nail colour!
Madison Avenhue, Full steam ahead and Sunday Funday

My love for Essie is being continued throughout this post with a few of my favourites being from there. Madison Aven'hue, Sunday Funday and Full steam ahead.
Guava, Grapefruit and Peach Melba

Another favourite nail brand of mine is Barry M. Guava, Grapefruit and Peach Melba being some of my favourites.

Finally Kiko is another nail brand that does amazing quality polishes. This shade doesn't have a colour name but is a gorgeous green colour.

Let me know in the comments what your favourite spring colour nail varnishes are!

40 Beauty Questions tag!

Image found on google image search.
Long time no see!
I am sorry that I haven't posted in a week or so. University work has just got totally crazy and I haven't found myself any spare time to get onto my laptop and type! Doing a fashion degree is harder work than it seems! As I haven't had a lot of time to take photographs and edit them properly I have decided to do a tag that I saw floating around on the computer!

The people I tag are:
Holly
Emily
Amber

-How many times do you wash your face daily?
Two times. Once in the morning and once after I have taken my makeup off.
-What skin type do you have? (dry, oily, combo)
I have combination skin. Although more recently it has been on the dry side due to the cold weather here in the uk!
-What is your current facial wash?
I only tend to use a facial wash every once in a while as I give my skin a thorough wash with water and find it more effective. But when I use one it is either Simple Face cleanser OR Soap and Glory Peaches and Clean!
-Do you exfoliate?
Nope, my skin is very sensitive!
-What brand do you use?
none, lol.
-What moisturizer do you use?
At the moment for my face I use a Body shop one. But generally I use soap and glory body lotion and hand cream etc. I am also in love with the dove vanilla body lotion which I bought last summer and it lasts FOREVER.
-Do you have freckles?
Not at the moment, but I know that they will probably start coming out soon as the sun is making more of an appearance these days!
-Do you use eye cream?
I am trying to find a really good eye cream as I don't currently use one! So if you have any recommendations write them below!
-Do you or did you have acne prone skin?
Luckily I have never gone through that period in my life where I have suffered with bad acne problems.
-Did you ever have to use Pro-activ?
Nope.
MAKE-UP
-What foundation do you use?
On an everyday basis I use Body Shop all in one face base. Which is a powdered foundation. It gives a flawless finish and is super easy to apply. But when I am wanting to spend a little bit of time on doing my makeup I use YSL Touché elcat OR L'oreal Magic Nude liquid powder. I find that I have to apply extra moisturiser when applying the liquid foundations though which is why I usually go for the powder!
-How about concealer?
I use Revlon Photo ready concealer or Rimmel London wake me up concealer.
-Do you know your undertone color?
I do not know! This is something I need to find out!
-What do you think of fake eyelashes?
I don't personally wear them as I feel that I get enough volume with my lashes that I require without them. But I have nothing against using them. Just never have!
-Did you know that you are supposed to change your mascara every 3 months?
I did know this! I think that as long as you are only using it on yourself and haven't had anything wrong with your eyes to cause you to have to change it, as long as it is working perfectly then its fine to use.
-What brand of mascara do you use?
I use Maybelline rocket blast mascara.
-Sephora or MAC?
There is no Sephora in the UK so I am going with MAC. Also I use so many MAC things in my day to day makeup routine now I would have to go with this!
-Do you have a MAC Pro-card?
Nope. I don't buy enough in MAC to warrant having one either!
-What makeup tools do you use in make up application?
I use Real Techniques expert face brush to apply my liquid foundation, Random eye brushes and the occasional sponge!
-Do you use make-up base/primer for the eyes?
I have began to yes. I find it lasts a much longer time with it!
-For the face?
Nope. Aside from moisturiser.
-What is your favorite eyeshadow (color or shade)?
Bootycall in the Naked 2 palette is one of my all-time favourite go to.
-Do you use pencil or liquid eyeliner?
I don't often use any kind of eyeliner.
-How often do you poke your eyes with an eyeliner pencil?
Never lol.
-What do you think of pigment eyeshadows?
Personally I have never used them but I am not against them!
-Do you use mineral makeup?
I have used it in the past but found it expensive to buy.
-What is your favorite lipstick?
My favourite lipsticks at the moment are Bombshell and Creme Cup by MAC. And Jade from little mix's lipstick from their range at superdrug.
-How about lipgloss?
I am currently loving a MAC orange lipgloss (The name has fallen off)
-What is your favorite blush to use?
Launch Away satin blush by MAC
-Do you buy your makeup on ebay?
No, I feel more comfortable buying my makeup from a trusted place as you never know what has been added to it!
-Do you like drugstore makeup?
Who doesn't love drugstore makeup? I Love how you can get so many different bits which often look the same as expensive versions!
-Do you go to CCO’s? (cosmetic company outlets)
I don't think I have ever been to one. I would LOVE to though!
-Did you ever consider taking make-up classes?
I have thought about taking them up recently after seeing an AD on groupon, But I haven't so far and am self taught through youtube ;)
-Are you clumsy in putting on makeup?
Sometimes when I am in a rush I feel like I apply far too much foundation or don't blend it well enough to how I would have perhaps liked to.
-Name a makeup crime that you hate?
Not blending the makeup properly into the neck. (Or the cat eye...sorry)
-Do you like colorful shades of makeup (lipstick, eyeshadow) or neutral ones?
I go for neutrals. I am not a very confident person, and as I am pale I don't like to draw attention to myself.
-Which celebrity always has great make up?
I always feel like Mollie King or Kendall Jenner has gorgeous makeup!
-If you could leave the house using just ONE make up item, what would you use?
I would use my All in one face base as it gives a great coverage and is very easy to apply.
-Could you ever leave the house without any makeup on?
I only started wearing makeup last year and never wore any throughout my schooling. So it doesn't bother me whatsoever.
-Do you think you look good even without any makeup on?
As I have said I am not a very confident person, so I struggle with self-confidence in the way I look. BUT I don't feel like I look terrible..
-In your opinion, what is the BEST makeup line?
MAC have a great variety of products for ALL different skin types and preferences.
-What do you think of Makeup?
Makeup is a great way of people to express themselves. Not one makeup style looks the same on everybody and it can really boost your confidence on days that you are perhaps not feeling 100% yourself. Only recently I have really grown to love makeup and I
enjoy looking at new products and buying and trying and watching videos all about it. You should check out my Pinterest collection!

I hope you enjoyed reading this post and look forward to next weeks!

London Fashion Weekend Haul!

Here is my final instalment of my London Fashion Weekend series! What a way to end it than with a teeny tiny haul! I mentioned before that I found the February fashion weekend to be really expensive and it was really annoying because there were many things I picked up that said it was £39 (more on the affordable side) and then once taken to the till became £60! Which I thought was WAY to much for a jumper, even if it was a Zoë Karsen one! (I loved that jumper :( )
As part of buying a ticket you could also purchase a goody bag. This came with my whole ticket (Silver Package) and was filled with some goodies. Again there wasn't as much stuff in the February bag as there was in the September one, which is fine BUT it showed how smaller this event was. Inside the bag was many leaflets for museums, exhibitions and then a brochure on the event. There was a Kinder Bueno, Lavzza coffee granuals, Lable.M blow out spray, Baby Lips in cherry and an Essie polish in naughty nautical.
One of the stands that we did buy some bits from was Essie. I have never had or tried an essie product before this day and had always wanted to. In superdrug they will the polishes for £7.99 a polish. Now although this isn't highly expensive, compared to my Barry M favourites I was never wiling to pay that much. They were selling two boxes, Pretty in pastels and shades of chic. These boxes were £20 each and came with a variety of products and a complimentary manicure with any colour of your choice. (I had madison avenhue, which I then went out and bought after having this done!)
L-R- Beyond Cozy, Bikini so teeny, Sunday Funday, Naughty Nautical, Full steam ahead and love to love you sleek stick.
This is the pretty in pastels box. It came with 2 full size products and 3 mini products. These are part of their 2013 collection I believe.
All of the colours have come out very true to what they are in the picture, apart from sunday funday. In the bottle it is a more chalky pastel-y colour than a bright orange. All of the polishes have a little bit of glitter in them as well.
L-R- For the Twill of it, Twin Sweater Set, After school boy blazer and a to zebra sleek stick.
This is the cosy shades of chic box. The difference between the two boxes are that this one includes dark colours and more evening, going out tones. Likewise to the previous box it came with a sleek stick which I am excited to try out.
The only polish from Essie that I have tried out is For the twill of it. It is such a beautiful colour. It is a mixture of green and purple and when you have your nails in a different lights it looks like different colours.

I am hoping to do a full review of some/all of these products but to start with I am really impressed with everything that I got.

I hope you enjoyed this mini series. I am close to hitting 70 followers (which I know to some may not be a lot but to me it means that I am doing something right and I have been going through a little rough time recently, not knowing what I really want to do and I know that I have been happier since blogging, so If you have read this, Thankyou <3 :)
