The great return..

If you are a follower of this blog, or have just happened to come across this little space on twitter, in that case hello!, then you may have noticed the small gap on this blog over the last couple of weeks. Basically so many things have happened suddenly in my life that I decided to spend some time away from my computer and with loved ones. Not going into to much detail, but things haven't been so great but are slowly getting better.

One of the best news is that I have finished university for the year! My uni has finished so much earlier than others which works in my advantage because it means I can gain some work experience.
I have a couple of work experience's already lined up for the next two weeks which I am SO excited about. Hopefully I can expand my knowledge of the fashion industry as well as how a magazine/blog works too! I will share all about my experience at a later date i'm sure! As for now I will leave this blog post short and sweet with a few images that I have taken over the past couple of weeks!
Hope you are all well! And as always thanks for taking the time out of your day to read my posts :)

Project Life Haul!

So if you follow me on twitter (@bellamomentox shameless plug there!) you may have seen that I have posted a series of tweets about the project life scrapbook. I have wanted to do a scrapbook for ages but the thought of having to sit down and put it together along with a fashion design sketchbook for uni was terrifying. Plus I didn't know where to begin. At the beginning of Jan I watched Lily Pebbles youtube video about her 'project life sketchbook'. (You can watch this video HERE). I immediately knew that this was the 'scrapbook' method for me as it was fool proof! The project life bits are more difficult to get in the UK so I bought all of my bits from Hobbycraft. There wasn't much of a selection to choose from but I am happy with what I got!

The album I went with was the Blush design. It comes with the ring binders inside and a cute little heart detailing in the bottom left corner of the cover. I also bought 3 different page inserts. They come in a pack of 12 which I think is great as usually you normally get one or two at a time. I got all the different design Design A, D and C.
I bought a couple of bits and pieces that I can use to decorate my pages. I got some clips and tags to label some images and then some sticky notes so I can write a little title or memory to insert next to an image. I picked up these felt alphabet stickers in the Hobbycraft sale because again they can be useful when adding a title to a page. I got the little pegs from wilkinson. I love how tiny they are. I thought that it would be a different way to add a photograph to a piece of paper. I also have some sellotape that has a red striped decoration on it as I thought it would look pretty and much nicer than plain! I got this from Ikea and it came with a couple of additional rolls to put inside.
When you buy the project life scrapbook there is the option to buy already designed and cut out shapes that fit perfectly into the little wallets sections. I thought that I wouldn't buy these as they were quite pricey for what they are. I bought a pack of decorated paper squares from Wilkinson and have just started to cut up my own shapes to attach photographs to. The Sewingbird paper pad is actually for proper scrapbooking. I got this from TK Maxx a couple of months ago because as a fashion student I thought it would inspire me. I have never used it, and think it will be perfect to use as section backgrounds. The final roll of paper is actually a wallpaper sample. When I was decorating my bedroom I knew that I wanted to have wallpaper. I selected lots of samples from Laura Ashley and found that they were really generous. This paper will also work perfectly for this project, and so much better than just sitting gathering dust in my craft cupboard!

Here is a little sample/sneak peek of the first page of my project life scrapbook. I have decided to do the first page as a 'about me' section. I have included some of my polaroid snaps. One of my resolutions for this year was to take more photographs and I feel like this project is perfectly matched! I have already taken lots of snaps and can't wait to look back on a filled 2015 scrapbook next January!

Let me know if you have started a project life scrapbook and if there is anything I need to buy! I am hoping to update my progress to scrapbooking throughout the year so let me know if this is something you want to see!

Thanks for reading!
lots of love,

Primark Haul!

Recently I popped into Primark in my town with the idea to 'browse' and get some 'inspiration' into what I want to buy when my student loan comes in next. Of course with Primark I found everything that I have ever needed in life and more. Ok so that may be a little bit of an exaggeration seeing as I only bought four things but still!

The first thing I bought were these pair of shorts. They have an electric blue trim and have a black and white geometric print all over them. The fabric is really light and thin, but not thin enough to be see through! So I know they will be perfect for summer! I wanted a pair like this last year and couldn't find any that I liked so when I found these I had to buy them before I couldn't ever find them again! They were £4 and I think are an absolute bargain for the quality of them! I have never seen them in Primark before so think that they are part of Primark's new collections!

This is another example of something that I did not need. This is a phone case/wallet/holder that comes with a strap. I bought this with the idea that I could put my phone, oyster card, id and student card in it so when I travel each day on the train everything is in one place. The strap on the side is also perfect as I  can wrap it round my hand then put it in my pocket at times when I want to make sure I defiantly have it on me. This was also £4 and I got it in the pretty brown wooden colour.

The final two things I bought were these two statement necklaces. I am probably too late on the trend with this one but I have never bought into the oversized necklaces style. I saw these and thought they were too cute to not buy. The first one is a cute flower necklace with a pale pink middle section and a gold chain. This one cost £4 and is super summery! The second necklace is a black gold bunting necklace. This cost £3 so was cheaper than the first one but I think it looks equally as pretty. I have worn this once with a plain t-shirt and loved how it glam'ed it up without being too over the top which was the worry I had when buying them.

I hope you enjoyed this style of post. Being a shop a holic that I am there will probably be more coming soon! Let me know what you have bought recently in the comments below and talk to you soon!

Bye!

Reflection of 2013!

Hello!
This seems so weird writing a post and not having to include the same 'Blogmas' picture that I have done for the past 3 weeks! I have enjoyed a few days off from posting to reflect on the past couple of months as well as blogmas altogether.

I started blogging at the end of August this year and can really say that although I haven't been blogging for a long time, I have spoken to the most wonderful people and have felt so accepted within this community. I have never been very confident in myself and before blogging thought that I didn't really have anything important to say more than any other person. For me blogging has become more than just a weekly thing but something that has made me change my mind on a lot of things. University being one of them. I am struggling right now with what I am going to do once my foundation year is up, and writing my blog is one thing that I find a lot of comfort in, although nobody in my family or friends know that this little space exists! (I guess I like it that way!)

Some of my new year resolutions for 2014 are as follows..
- Stop Worrying. I worry about every single thing. I even worry to the point that I make up things that may happen if I do or don't do something. This needs to stop!
- Do what makes me happy. This is something I am going to try so hard to achieve this year. I have for the longest time gone along with things other people say and do because I don't want to start an argument. I need to do whats best for me.
- Appreciate the small things. I saw a quote the other day saying 'Appreciate the small things because soon they will be the biggest things'. This quote is so true. I am so blessed to have the family I do and I take them for granted.
- Make time for my interests. Photography and fashion are two of my most favourite things. I have a lot of free time now until september and I really want to expand my photography and make more of an effort with producing images of great quality to share on my blog.

Thank-you for following me on here, it means a lot. Over this past month I have spoken and gained some lovely followers that I really do appreciate! Sorry for a bit of a rambling post today!

Thank-you again!

Blogmas day 23!

Today I am going to see a pantomime. We go every year to the local theatre with all of my cousins to see the production. I believe that this year it is going to be Dick Whittington. I love a good pantomime. I love how they get the crowd all festive by clapping and cheering. It is also nice to spend some quality time with some of my family before the business of christmas day and boxing day comes around.

What is your favourite pantomime? Another one of my favourites is
Aladdin and Cinderella. We have also seen Jack and the Beanstalk in previous years. There is definitely something about a pantomime that makes me feel so festive!

Have a lovely christmas!

Blogmas day 22!

Technically we are now on the run up to christmas, 3 DAYS TO GO! Seeing as this week is going to be super super busy, I decided to have a chill out day today wrapping up presents and watching christmas movies. I thought I would share a few different ways that I have wrapped up some of my families presents. It is nothing to over the top but I think a little thought goes a long way!

This year something I have been obsessed with is ribbon and little cards so everyone knows who's present is for who. We also haven't gone for a theme so use any paper we have got, I like this mismatched way of wrapping them up!.

Happy Christmas!
