My 21st Birthday!

This post is about two months late and my 21st birthday now feels like a distant memory!

I wanted to include a roundup of some photographs that were taken on and around my birthday. The wonderful part of writing a blog is that in the future I am going to be able to look back on moments in my life that were special to me, and my 21st birthday was certainly one I want to remember!

Nothing says 'Happy Birthday' quite like a balloon! My mummy bought this one for me to cheer me up!

As a 21st century girl, I was excited to see the birthday balloons on my twitter page!

Birthday post and presents!

More birthday presents!

This is my 'just woken up, birthday princess' ootd!

The most excited I have been to open a box!

A birthday balloon was left on my desk at work!
Mirror selfie with my brother, at the top of the stairs in my local Wildwood!

That awkward moment when the whole restaurant sings happy birthday to you..

As part of my birthday celebrations, we hired out 'The Brentwood Kitchen' for the evening. This place is a local hotspot so I felt really lucky to be able to have had it all to myself and my friends and family. They even put on a little spread and did some birthday cupcakes. The whole decoration inside is also so me! It was so Pinterest worthy! I mean fairy lights galore!

Amazing table spread!

"And pose by the cake now.."

I am so glad I curled my hair for the special occasion..The rain outside didn't affect it at all!

I love the randomness of the decorations in The Brentwood Kitchen!

The most amazing Strawberry buttercream and Vanilla cupcakes! <3

Blowing out my candles!
I hope you enjoyed the selection of pictures that I have included. I know it's not a normal style of post but something that I really wanted to share!

Hope you have had a lovely week so far!

Feeling Nautical : Style Diary

Good evening!
Hope you have all had a lovely day so far!
It's been so cloudy, rainy and windy as well which makes leaving the house unbearable! I have noticed a little theme within my OOTD's that I look like I am dressed for summer, but honestly my house is SO hot for the majority of the time that I don't need to wear a jacket/cardigan until I leave the house. I have been wanting to wear this shirt for a little while now. I bought it in a Zara sale about 2 years ago and never felt confident enough to wear it as it was a little bit too cropped for my liking. (I have only recently started to wear t-shirt's that didn't cover my bottom when wearing jeans!)

I wore my Zara top with my Topshop ripped Jamie jeans and my Schuh loafers. I got these for my birthday last year and haven't really worn them very much since. I found them in the back of my wardrobe and have fallen in love with them all over again!
I spent some time to do my makeup today. I went a little bit over the top for a casual day staying in. But when else is a better time to experiment with makeup! I used my Smoky palette for the first time and LOVE it. I even did the tape trick when applying my eyeshadow which has changed my life!

Hope you have a lovely rest of your day!
Lots of love,

Kate Spade 2016 Planner!

Good afternoon!
This blogpost is probably a little bit late, and I should have done this at the beginning of January, but I was really excited to share the beauty that is the Kate Spade 2016 planner. I have always been one of those people who likes to plan everything to every tiny detail. My school planner/homework diary would always be full to the brim of everything clearly labelled out with stickers and highlighters, and I would make sure that things were written down neatly in my very best handwriting! Since leaving school I have always had small diary's but in an attempt to try to plan my life a little bit better I asked for this Kate Spade 2016 agenda for Christmas. I have been speaking to a few people recently about my anxiety and a couple of the tips were to write down things in your diary that you will look at for the week ahead for something to keep your mind on when feeling a little bit down. This has certainly worked for me and is something I really recommend.

So, the front of the diary is cream in colour and has a golden polkadot print all over. It has an elastic fastening which keeps everything nice and secure inside. I don't take this diary out with me, but I can imagine that this is helpful when chucking it into a bag too as the pages won't open so freely and look battered!

As soon as you open the planner you have a little envelope section which is perfect for keeping important pieces of information or notes. This is where I normally keep my pen tucked into so I always have one with me. I currently have a business card from my Topshop personal shopping experience, a letter from my parents at Christmas and a Costco cake form that I am looking at for my 21st birthday! This space is really big and there is also another one of these sections on the next page.  Can we just talk about the gorgeous baby pink and gold colours? Oh my, they are utterly gorgeous!

A nice little feature that the agenda has is that it actually starts from July 2015. So if you are one of those people who like to plan way way in advance then this diary will be for you! If only I knew about this! With that being said the 2016 section does run all the way through till January 2017!

Each month in the agenda is separated with another double page of polka dots. I love that this is a continuing feature throughout the diary. I do love me a polka dot!

At the start of each month there is also an overview of the whole month. So you are able to write down any important information that you might need, as well as smaller less important information. I find that this section is quite good to look at when wanting to remember birthdays in particular as I can go ahead and make lots of cards in advance.

Finally the main weekly section of the diary is absolutely gorgeous as well. There is plenty of space to write down lots of information and the lines are really nicely spaced out. The pages itself are smooth so it's very nice to write on. One thing that I think I will find annoying as the months go on is that if the month before finishes on say a Monday, then that day will be on the next months page. A little bit annoying, but a very minimal feature that I will certainly deal with!

I hope you enjoyed this post!
I know it is a little bit different to what I normally post about!
If you would like another review like this let me know in the comments. I have a weakness for stationary!

Have a lovely rest of your day!

The return: Style Diary

I have really enjoyed these daily OOTD's but honestly it has been great having a little break over the last couple of days! But I am back with another university friendly outfit, perfect for long boring lectures! Plus I absolutely love this long sleeved top in the current windy uk weather!

I found this quote on pinterest and I LOVE it. It sums me up honestly!

Tee and Jeans : Style Diary

Good afternoon!

Today has been super super busy! Its weird to think that I am finishing university in just under 2 month's. So crazy when I know that I have lots to fit into my diary between that time! But anyway, its finally February which only means one thing...IT'S MY BIRTHDAY MONTH!! I am 21 this month. Crazy to think I know!

Anyway today I wanted to wear something that I was genuinely comfortable in as I have been doing lots of drawings and sketches for university. It's hard work coming up with new designs and inspiration! I got this T-shirt for Christmas from my parents and I just love it. It is a little bit oversized and is really loose fitted around the neck which is perfect for me. Paired with the shirt I wore my grey Topshop ripped Jamie Jeans. To go outside I wore my fluffy lined bomber jacket which is also from Topshop. Since buying this jacket I haven't worn it as much as I would have liked too!

I hope you have a lovely rest of your day!
