Ciaté mini mani month

This post wasn't one that I had originally planned. If you have followed my blog for a while or have just come across it, in that case hello!, you may have noticed that the last few posts have been beauty related. At the beginning of getting back to blogging in December/January I mentioned that I wanted to make my blog more fashion related and less beauty. For some reason this hasn't happened. I think that it may have something to do with the fact I am addicted to buying beauty products! Fashion is something that I have great plans for in the upcoming months and I cant wait to hopefully start work experience and blogging about my journey through the busy world of fashion. Anyway, I hope you don't mind another beauty related post as it is something I am rather excited to write about!

If you saw THIS post you may recognise all of the products that I am going to mention in this post. It seems weird that I am going to be going back to talking about advent calendars, although I wish we could have the chocolate ones all year round! anybody with me?!?!, especially seeing as it is the first of February today but I felt like this was too good not to share. Beauty advent calendars were a new thing to me. I probably wouldn't have got one if I hadn't taken a spontaneous trip to TKmaxx one dark cold November evening with my mum and spotted it in the aisle. The Ciaté mini mani month. The idea of the calendar is exactly the same as a general chocolate advent calendar. You open a little door and receive a nail polish for each day of December. This became a little game in my household where everybody in my family would take a guess at what the colour was. My dad guessed green each time, and on the one occasion where it was green he chose blue. You get 18 paint pots and 6 Sprinkles, pearls and sequins. Really there is something for everyone included in the box.

L-R: Main Stage, Candyfloss, Play date, Hoopla
L-R: Sugar plum, Members only, Ivory queen, Amazing gracie
L-R: Hopscotch, Encore!, Boudoir
L-R: Chinchilla, Pillow fight, Starlet
L-R: Pepperminty, Tweed and tails
L-R: Fit for a queen, Snow globe
ALL ARE CAVIER PEARLS. L-R: Midnight in manhattan, Metallic pearls silver, Metal gold, Cupids arrow
L-R: Glitter Twinkle toes, Sequins Dallas dolly
There was something so special about opening the calendar every evening on the run up to christmas. As a nail varnish addict it was a joy to receive a brand new mini colour each day. One thing I would say about this box is that the colour choice is very random. I thought there would have been more 'christmassy' colours seeing as its the winter season. But I am glad there was a big selection of colours as they are a handy small pot to have in a makeup bag. Ciaté polishes are always great quality so I can't wait to try all of these out!

A funny thing to add at this point is that I have already got my Ciaté mini manor nail varnish advent calendar for next year as I saw it on sale in TkMaxx. You can buy it from Asos if you search Ciaté.

Have you tried any Ciaté polishes?

Spring nail varnish collection!

The other day was the beginning of spring and in celebration of that I thought I would share some of my favourite spring polishes which will be replacing some darker colours!

First of all, I just want to mention a top and base coat that I have been really loving recently. I bought Essie's grow stronger base coat and good to go top coat, after having it put on at LFW. I was really surprised how long the polishes lasted with these products so thought I would give them a try myself. They really haven't let me down and are a great foundation for any nail colour!
Madison Avenhue, Full steam ahead and Sunday Funday

My love for Essie is being continued throughout this post with a few of my favourites being from there. Madison Aven'hue, Sunday Funday and Full steam ahead.
Guava, Grapefruit and Peach Melba

Another favourite nail brand of mine is Barry M. Guava, Grapefruit and Peach Melba being some of my favourites.

Finally Kiko is another nail brand that does amazing quality polishes. This shade doesn't have a colour name but is a gorgeous green colour.

Let me know in the comments what your favourite spring colour nail varnishes are!
