Review: My Pandora ring

Good evening, morning or afternoon depending what time it is when you read this post. I hope you are having a lovely day! I am so excited for the future of this blog. At the time of writing this post I have a book full of ideas for future blog posts and I can't wait to share them with you all! The past few months have been a little difficult for me as my anxiety/panic attacks have caused me a lot of issues in ways that they never have done in the past. But I am so glad that I am coming out onto the other side of that now. I am thinking about relaunching my blog with an updated layout and new header etc. I am also thinking about buying a domain, so if anybody has any tips or ideas with what site to go with then let me know! Now, onto the post!

I own lots of jewellery. Topshop, Accessorise and Dorothy Perkins are my favourites when it comes to statement necklaces and I am even partial to some Primark pieces which are both fashionable and affordable, but I have never really had an item that I could wear each day until now. If you recall on my blog the other week I posted about my work experience and internship at You and Your Wedding magazine, (You can read about that HERE), and I found that being around that amount of Jewellery and pretty pieces made me want to find a staple item of my own. I spoke to my mum and she said that she wanted to buy me my very first ring as a congratulations for finishing your first year at uni, if you know me this is really a big deal!, and she also wanted to show me how proud of me she was. So we went to my local Pandora store with the intention of buying a ring. My local store has just been upgraded so it is now so much more bigger than it used to be and more open for browsing. I thought I knew exactly what I wanted to buy. The popular Pandora ring of the moment, the Princess ring. Obviously seeing how popular this ring is, it wasn't in stock. After speaking to the lovely sales assistant and checking whether it was in stock in another store I decided that I would wait and come in another day, that was until I spotted this delicate little heart ring in the corner of my eye. I thought it was absolutely beautiful and perfect for what I wanted it for. Again they didn't have it in my size, apparently I have small fingers!, so we ordered it to be delivered to the store and that was that.

Four weeks passed and we still hadn't heard anything. So I rang up the store to be told that it had been in the store waiting for me for a couple of weeks and that they had apparently called me once and that they got no answer. This is the only issue I have with the whole process of ordering my ring from Pandora. They called me once and got no reply, no message was left and no attempt was made to call again. So it was left to me the customer to wonder where my item, that I had already paid for, was at. Never the less my mum and I went into the store to collect the ring and we left with the dainty little product all wrapped up with a bow in the cute Pandora bag.

There is something special about leaving a shop with a gift bag and a bow!
This was the ring that I fell in love with. It is called the Delicate heart ring and my ring has a pink sapphire inside the heart. It is the perfect size for my finger and because it is quite simple will never go out of fashion. It is the classic piece that I was after and I am so glad that I have something that I can treasure and cherish as a gift from my mum.
I hope you enjoyed this post and are looking forward to ones that I have planned. I am hoping to continue my little schedule of uploading on a Sunday and a Wednesday. I like how it works for me and hope you enjoy it too.

Please follow and leave a little comment down below, I love to hear back from you and I also love checking out your blogs in return!

London Fashion Weekend!

London Fashion Weekend

Sorry for not posting on Sunday but I had a huge deadline that I needed to complete and now I have managed to get the flu! Due to this I am bed bound, but alas I am not letting that stop my excitement for London Fashion Weekend! I go every September and after getting a letter through the post giving me 25% off tickets and a glass of bubbly at the door I knew I had to go! Here is my simple guide of what I feel are must haves for the day!

Firstly seeing as it is still very winter, and still very cold in London layers are essential. From past experience I know how hot it can get when walking around somerset house so being able to put on or take off a jumper/jacket is the best thing. For me I am the most comfortable in a pair of thick leggings. I own THIS pair from Next and have been super impressed with how comfy they actually are. I am not the kind of person who wears leggings on their own as trousers, I usually dress them up with a long top or dress.

The next thing that I feel is a must have is an oversized jumper with a simple tee underneath. Oversized jumpers are perfect to glam up any outfit as they look effortless yet stylish at the same time. I have one from Zara which is black and white strapped that is perfect for styling with a pair of leggings. Finally a leather jacket doubles up as stylish and comfortable. I love how a leather jacket can edge up a look whilst still doing the job of keeping you warm!

For a bag you need something big enough to keep your camera in as well as other essentials such as a purse and phone. A classic black bag with a long strap is perfect for throwing over your shoulder as it keeps it out of the way but still holds all of the necessities.

Finally a good pair of shoes are essential for comfort. You can go for a pair of classic wedges OR my personal favourite a pair of Doc Martens or other worker style boots. I love the pair above from Next.

Hope this gives you a little bit of an idea of what I am going to wear and I hope you look forward to seeing some posts with pictures next week!

Blogmas day 7!

christmas gift guide!

I have really been struggling this year with what to buy for my mum for christmas. However I have finally put together a few ideas that I have decided to buy for her as well as some other ideas that could come in handy for birthdays or just a treat!

Lush Cosmetics
If you have been reading some of my previous posts you may have noticed how obsessed I am with Lush Bath Bombs. This is something that I am trying to pass onto my mum. She isn't as keen on these as I am but she does like the bath melts and scrubs so she will be having one of these in her stocking! Lush is a really great shop to go to when thinking of bath products and although you can spend a fortune in the shop, the individual prices of one or two are very reasonable.

The Body Shop
Every christmas the body shop always put together great little gift sets including some of their top selling products. I can usually count on my grandparents to put a small gift set like the one I listed above in each of my cousins and my small stocking. The body shop are doing a really cute gingerbread man theme at the moment which is really in trend with all of the christmas stores themes this year! (I also secretly can't wait for the shops to put some of these items into the sales in the new year!)

Pandora
Every year me and my brother have always bought my mum a pandora charm and this year is no different. The new collection of christmas 2013 charms were put onto their website a couple of weeks ago and I must admit I am a little bit in love with the mittens charm. Although these charms can be a little pricey there are some other less expensive charms that you can buy which I feel look just as nice.

Next
When buying anything for my mum clothes wise next is always the number one place that I go to. We have quite a big Next in my hometown and in my nearest retail shopping centre so we are always going into there. Next is also one of them shops that does on trend stuff at affordable prices. Although the clothes are relatively cheap they are really good quality. I mentioned a couple of days ago that I had found my favourite pair of leggings EVER in Next and ever since then I kind of rely on Next for decent outfits! They are also doing some cute christmas themed jumpers this year which I really want to buy for myself let alone for my mum!

Zara
Zara is another one of them stores which I have a fling with now and then. At the moment Zara is really overpriced for what I can afford therefore I haven't been in it as much. My mum mentioned the other day that she really wanted a lovely warm winter scarf. A few bloggers have reviewed some of their thick double sided woollen scarves so I thought that I would have a look and have bought one of these for my mum. Fingers crossed she likes it!

Hope you liked some of the picks I have found and let me know which ones are your favourite!
Happy Christmas
