All Black Friday!

Black Friday, the one day of the year where shoppers go crazy for products we don't need, at ridiculously low prices! Alright I admit, I am a sucker for a sale and plus with all the discounts you can get an amazing head start on presents for christmas!

The other week I was approached by the lovely Faith at Boohoo to see whether I would like to take part in their 'All Black Friday' campaign. Of course that was a silly question seeing as I have loved Boohoo.com for such a long time. It was the first store that I ever ordered from online and since then I have been impressed by the range of affordable fashion that they have to offer.

I loved the challenge of styling a whole black outfit. I would describe my fashion as quite casual. I love to be comfortable, but I also like to add a rockier edge to my outfits if possible too! I knew how I wanted to style my outfit version of black Friday.

The first thing I choose was the Vanessa Faux Fur Gilet. I am loving faux fur at the moment and especially liking how soft and comfortable this one is. I have been loving wearing it over the top of a leather jacket as well as any knitwear of my choice. Another positive of it being black is that it goes with everything as well!

I also choose the Maria Soft Knit Jumper Dress. As soon as I spotted this on the Boohoo website I knew it was what I was missing in my life! I feel like this dress is a little gem in my wardrobe now. You can dress it up or dress it down which is amazing especially with the festive party season coming up! The dress is also thick enough to not need to wear anything underneath, but thin enough that you don't get hot! I absolutely love this and can't wait to wear it throughout the winter period.

Tights- Primark

Glasses- Ray-Ban
Shoes- Topshop

*Hair Ties- Boohoo

To finish off my outfit I chose to wear these Topshop boots that I got for christmas a couple of years ago. They give me a little bit of height without being uncomfortable. I also had my hair up in a loose plait using the Sarah Animal Print Hair and Wrist Ties. These are a nice touch to the look as they give a subtle touch of colour/print in a discreet way. Plus you can also use them as a little bracelet when not having it in your hair! Finally I wore my River Island hat. I bought this a long time ago and have only just started to style it up to fit my personality. I love how it looks with this outfit and I feel like it finishes it off!

I hope you enjoyed this blogpost!
I really enjoyed teaming up with Boohoo.com to create my all black Friday look!

What are you loving on the Boohoo website? Let me know down in the comments!

Have a lovely weekend!

*Some items mentioned in this post were gifted to me, however all opinions are my own.

Louis Vuitton - Series 3 exhibition

I first heard about the Louis Vuitton Series 3 exhibition after reading Elle Magazine and spotting an advert amongst the pages. To be honest I didn't think much of it and carried on flicking through. It wasn't until LFW began that I read some hype over it on twitter. After finding out it was free to attend, I booked a guided tour slot. I am so glad I did because words can't describe how amazing of an experience it was! The whole idea of the exhibition is to explore the ideas and methods behind the Autumn Winter 2015/16 collections. The exhibition, based in The Strand, has been designed to reference previous fashion shows and the whole atmosphere made you feel very special. Tours are every 15 minutes and its essential to go on one to get the best experience you can. The tour guide was fantastic. He seemed to know everything from the bags, to the shoes, he was fantastic! He also made the experience really pleasant by cracking jokes every now and then!

The entrance to the exhibition had this LV rotating display that was hidden behind various polarised panels. The guide told us that this was supposed to give the viewer a different experience of the LV lettering from various angles. The middle angle being the best view.

This display was designed to mimic a previous interior of past fashion shows.

This trunk case is such an iconic Louis Vuitton item. I remember seeing one of these in various american films and falling in love with them. I would LOVE to own one!

The exhibition had these cool screens that made you feel like you were stitching one of the bags. It was so weird to watch others sit as you could just see the hands moving.

Another room was set out to look like another fashion show. The models were placed in the stands and we were told by the attendant to walk all the way around to feel like we are a part of the fashion show.

This lady has spent the past week making these bags. She said that she loves doing it and feeling apart of the brand.

This bag may be my favourite one out of the whole collection that we saw! I love the simple white with the red and navy blue! This shape is also one of my favourites!

I am really glad that I decided to go to the exhibition. As a Fashion student it is always interesting to see the ideas behind others collections. The fact that it was free is amazing as they could have charged and I would have paid! A nice touch is that you are allowed to take home with you some stickers as a souvenir. You were also given a poster of the exhibition which is great. I am going to be framing mine!

Hope you liked this post, have you been to the exhibition? What did you think if you did go!

Have a lovely day!

Benefit Haul!

Just when I think I own enough makeup BAM I purchase some more. In my defence these were needed items in my makeup bag as they were repurchases but still... I have a weakness when it comes to makeup. Benefit has been one of those brands where I have near enough loved everything that I have tried.

First of all I got a new full sized Porefessional. I LOVE this product so much! Since discovering this I have used it almost every day. It makes the whole application process of foundation so much easier and you can really tell a difference when I forget to put it on. It is lightweight on the skin as well so it doesn't feel like you are adding an extra layer to your makeup. It says you can use this over your makeup as well, however I am yet to try this! I am glad that I finally bought this as I am about to run out of my sample sized versions!

Next I have finally decided to commit to a full sized They're Real mascara. I have been obsessed with this mascara for a couple of years and always being lucky to get another sample size in Elle magazine just as one is running out. I know people have mixed reviews over this product but I love the way it works for my lashes. I don't wear falsies and these give me the effect that I am! Benefit were doing a great deal where you can get a full sized They're real with a half size eyeliner and eye makeup remover in a set for £19.50. I am yet to try the eyeliner and makeup remover so am excited to see how I get on with it!

Another great thing about Benefit as I have mentioned are the sample sized products. I love a sample! The ladies in Benefit were very generous with the samples that they gave to me.

The first one that the gave to me which I am excited to try is Lollitint. I have heard a lot of great reviews about this product! It's intentionally a lip stain, however you can use it on your cheeks as well a a subtle blush. I am looking forward to trying this out for autumn!

Puff off is another sample that I am excited to try as it is something I had never heard of before, although it has been out a little while now! I think it is used under the eyes to make them less puffy. whether this works I have no idea but I am all for trying!

Finally I was given these face cream samples. One is for all over the face and the other is for under the eyes. I have tried the face moisturiser before and loved it. It is the perfect size for taking away for a weekend break so these will deffo be put into my hand luggage for Disneyland Paris, as will most of these samples!

I hope you enjoyed this post. Have you bought anything from Benefit recently that you think I need to try? Let me know in the comments below!

Have a lovely week!
