Christmas movie favourites - Blogmas Day 4

I am partial to a nice little cosy infront of the tele on a cold winter afternoon, hot chocolate in one hand, laptop on my lap and a great Christmas classic on the screen. Ok, in my world Christmas starts in October. Christmas movies are my most favourite thing. Every year I re-watch the classics as well as hunt for new ones. Here is my round up of the films you need to watch if you haven't, and re watch if you have!
 Enjoy!

Arthur Christmas
I feel like this film is really underrated. It was released in 2011 so is still relatively new in comparison to the other films listed below. If you haven't seen it then you have to. It takes the whole classic idea of father christmas delivering presents on a sleigh completely upside down. Its a great film, certainly a must see!

The Grinch
This goes down as my all time favourite christmas film. I can remember watching this film for the first time being the same age as Cindy Lou, and falling in love with everything christmassy. I even asked my parents if we could move so I could have a round window to sing 'where are you christmas' out of. It's one of those films that everybody in the family, all ages can watch and love.

The Polar Express
I only watched this for the first time a couple of years ago.. I know a shocker really isn't it! Still with that being said its a great film regardless. One of my favourite scenes is when they all receive their hot chocolate in a rather sing song manner. I am still waiting for this to happen!

The Santa Clause
Another fantastic christmas film. I love the sarcastic and witty comments throughout this movie. There is something special about the cute father and son bond which is often not seen in the majority of films.

Mr Poppers Penguins
Ok, so this film isn't particularly a christmas movie, but if you have seen it you would probably agree with me that its just so darn festive! Jim Carrey plays a posh real estate developer/ penguin father. Hilarious. another must see!

Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer
This movie represents my childhood. Every christmas eve I would go round to my grandma and granddads house with my cousins and watch this before going off to the local christingle service. It's a very old film, released 1998 to be exact, so the words don't always match the mouth movements but thats what makes it special. The songs are also quite reminiscing for me, so thats why I love it!

Hope you liked my little roundup!
Let me know what your favourites are!

Thanks for reading!

Portugal OOTD 2!

Hello! Its another boiling hot day here in Portugal! So far on this holiday all we have done is sit by the pool and gone out for dinner. Such a stress free environment away from everybody is exactly what we needed!

We decided that tonight we would go out earlier for dinner than usual so we could have a little wander around town before settling down. We went into Cascais around 5 and found a random little place that sold all types of food. It was alright, nothing really much to talk about! It was basic but did the job. I decided to go with a pastel colours look. I wore my hair down with just a clip at the back as I really couldn't be bothered to style it too much! I basically went completely natural with my makeup, only using a lip stain and maybelline mascara. What's the point in wearing a ton of makeup on holidays!

This cute little white lace vest top with a sheer section at the bottom is one of my holiday essentials. It is so easy to style with any bottoms and is super comfy. Its from Hollister, although I am sure you can get a top like this from any high street shop at the moment. The skirt I am wearing I like to call my princess skirt. I bought it with the aim to wear it with tights to Disneyland Paris. I then realised that it would be perfect for this holiday! This is also from Hollister. It has three layers, one of netting, which makes it puff out a little bit. I have found it to be really flattering especially with my lace top.

I went very minimal with my Jewellery tonight. This gold chain necklace is from Topshop which I picked up in the sale for £4! Such a bargain. I have been wearing it lots lately as it pretty much goes with everything. (The only annoying thing is the chains sometimes get tangled up!) I am also wearing my wrap Pandora bracelet. I bought this a while back and had forgotten I had it, so when finding it whilst packing I knew I wanted to bring it along! Again I am wearing my New Look Sandals.

I thought I would add this little picture in at the end of my big brother and I out in Cascais in the evening.

Love,

Portugal OOTN Day one!

This is probably the first ever proper OOTD that has appeared on my blog, and I am so excited to share it. Over the past two years (nearly three eek!) of blogging I have been quite hushed hushed about it with my family but I have finally come clean and admitted to the reason I spend a lot more money on makeup in more recent times! My brother is an amazing photographer as well, so I am really glad that I finally have somebody to stand behind the camera to get some shots. As I have said, this is my first ever OOTD so please excuse the awkward standing!

This was the outfit I wore on the first night of the holiday. I am in love with this maxi dress from Tommy Hilfiger. It is probably the favourite dress I have brought away with me! It is a gorgeous coral dress with flowers and parrots. It is a total holiday dress! On my feet I am wearing my trusty sandals from New Look. These are super comfy so I am sure you will be seeing them appear a lot on my blog over the next couple of weeks!  Finally my bracelet is full of pink sparkles and is from Tresor Paris.
