BLOGMAS 13 || WRAPPING IDEAS!

I. Love. Christmas. Wrapping. 

Another favourite part of Christmas has always been Christmas wrapping. I really enjoy making little presents look special as I know I love to receive them! Last year my wrapping paper of choice was more muted with greys, glitters and white sparkly ribbon. This time I knew I wanted to do something a little different and found the prettiest paper from Marks and Spencers (and it was in the 3 for 2 deal - bonus) and the most amazing glittery tape from Tiger and have created the most glittery combo ever! When going through old Christmas decoration boxes I had also found a little set of gift tags, ribbon and mini baubles which added the prettiest final touches too! (I always buy lots of Christmas wrapping and decorations in the January sales for moments like this!) 

Adding a piece of delicate ribbon to the gift makes it look nicely put together, throw on a miniature bauble and you're good to go! 

How pretty does this silver glittery tape look! It comes in a pack with Silver, Gold, Pink, Green and Red! A colour that will match anything!

I also love to use old blank decorations to personalise as little gift tags. These ones in particular were also from Tiger last year but come in a huge pack. They're thin wooden so look expensive when in reality they cost less than £2!

BLOGMAS 12 || GIFT GUIDE FOR HER!

Can we believe that we're already half way through Blogmas 2019 and this is the first time a post very nearly didn't go up!? I am so impressed with myself for actually sticking to a daily upload (thanks to the planning gods for coming through with all the forward thinking!) and have actually really enjoyed getting back into uploading on my little blog again! 

For today's post, I will be sharing part one of my two part gift guide. This one is for all the ladies in your life, whether they be grandmas, cousins, aunts, mothers, sisters or friends. Hopefully you can find something below that will suit. I have included a varied budget as I know sometimes you might just need that little something extra! BLOGMAS 11 || BRINGING BACK THAT FESTIVE FEELING

I find this time of year to be so confusing. I LOVE Christmas, don't get me wrong, but I always feel sad that it doesn't feel the same as when you're a child. Seeing Christmas through the eyes of a younger relative makes me so jealous as I wish I had that opportunity to experience things for the first time all over again. With that being said this year in particular things have felt so festive, and for once I am enjoying getting prepared and ready for the big day. There's so many things that have contributed to my sudden festive feeling which I am going to share today in this Blogmas post! 

Christmas Crafts

I've already written about two different crafts I have done this Christmas which I think are probably the main reason for my festive spirit. I love crafting anyway, but something about making a wreath or decorating a bauble just makes things that little more exciting. I finished making another garland yesterday for our kitchen and couldn't help but smile at my little work of art. It's a reminder of spending time away from a laptop screen with my mum and we have a lovely decoration that we can take down and put away for years to come. What a bonus! 

Christmas Movies

As mentioned again in a previous blogmas post, Christmas Movies are no strangers in my house. If you think I'm a Christmas movie addict then you really must be introduced to my mum. She begins watching them in July and if she had the opportunity probably would start even earlier. But honestly Christmas movies cure EVERYTHING. Feeling sad? Christmas movie. Feeling stressed? Christmas movie. Feeling festive? CHRISTMAS MOVIE!! You see the theme here...

Christmas Lights

One of the perks of the evenings getting darker earlier is being able to walk about and stare at all the twinkling lights before it gets too late. I am lucky to work in Oxford Street currently so I can see them every evening on my walk to the train station. Equally I am so happy with how we decorated our Christmas tree this year I can't help but sit and watch them whilst writing up Blogmas posts. Put on a few Christmas tunes and the setting couldn't be any more perfect. 

Spending time with family and friends

Obviously this is a given considering Christmas is all about spending the time with those we love, but it is so key and vital to feeling happy during this manic period. Christmas can be overwhelming, I know it is to me, so making sure you have down time between the rush is so important. I love just visiting friends for mince pies or watching one of my top pick movies on repeat with my mum. Nothing says Christmas without them.

BLOGMAS 10 || GLOSSYBOX ADVENT CALENDAR DAY 4-8

I've never been SO excited to wake up for the day in ages, but there's something about being able to open a little gift that just does it for me! I've had many advent calendars over the years, some beauty and nails, but mostly chocolate and delicious but this one beats all of them. The products that I have received so far this week have been bits I would have bought myself given the opportunity. Earlier on in the week I shared days 1-3, so this post is a little follow up! 

So there we have it, days 4-8 of the amazing GLOSSYBOX advent calendar! Again, I am so pleased with everything this calendar has given me so far and am excited for what is still to come!

BLOGMAS 9 || Dear Santa...

We've finally reached that time of Blogmas where I sit down and write my christmas list to Santa. (Side note who calls him Santa or Father Christmas, my family have always been the latter!). This is the first year that I have been a fully working London gal, so despite having an ever growing lust list - darn you social media, my Christmas wish list is small and a little bit more random than usual. I mean, if you can't ask for the most random things for Christmas when can you! 

Dear Santa, 

This year I have been SO good! I have overcome so many things and tried my best to make my family super proud of me. This year I would like...

A pair of fluffy penguin socks to keep my feet warm on those cold and blustery wintery nights...

A gorgeous pink notepad for me to write down all of my thoughts and feelings throughout the year... 

A pair of cosy pyjamas would be nice to snuggle down in, and would look perfect with the fluffy penguin socks...

Was also planning on getting back into reading this year. I've been watching the BBC adaption of the His Dark Materials books. I would love to see how they compare...

Finally, last but not least, I have had my eye on a new bag but I know how much of an item it is on my lust list...

I promise I will be good for the rest of the year and the next but will be super grateful for anything I would receive!

BLOGMAS 8 || 4 Must See Christmas Movies

I am one of those people who watch Christmas Movies all year round. However, I figure it's much more acceptable to talk about them during the month of December. Nothing beats cosying up on a rainy Sunday afternoon with a cup of tea in hand and a Christmas movie playing. Over the years my list of favourites have certainly changed, but this year I have found a few new faves...

1) Klaus - Available on Netflix

This movie HAS to be my Christmas movie of 2019.It's been on Netflix since the middle of November and I have probably watched it over 10 times. IT'S JUST SO GOOD. From the clumsy, like-able postman to the first grumpy turned chatty toy maker this film has so much character! In brief the film follows the motto of 'One act of kindness can inspire another' something we all should take into our own lives. It's worth a watch immediately - oh and did I mention how gorgeous the animation is! 5 STARS!!!

2) The Grinch - DVD 

Nothing says 'It's Christmas' quite like The Grinch. It's probably one of my favourites too considering it's such a classic and how timeless it has become! This movie is also on my list of movies to watch on Christmas Eve too as it gets me completely in the festive spirit. I'm sure I don't need to tell you a rough storyline but incase you've been living under a rock, The Grinch tells the tale of someone who's on a mission to steal Christmas with his sidekick dog Max. However his mood quickly changes after meeting little Cindy Lou and he soon finds he has a new friend! (Probably should mention the NEW Grinch movie, however that's not as enjoyable as the OG version)

3) Arthur Christmas - DVD & Netflix

This movie has been another favourite of mine since it's release in 2011. It's one of those films that not many people talk about! To me, I loved the modern take on a classic Christmas tale. The storyline, graphics and many many rubbish jokes keep me coming back for more and it's another movie on my Christmas Eve viewing list.

4) Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer The Movie - DVD

Now THIS is the film of my childhood. Before my cousins and I grew too cool to get together and spend Christmas Eve as a family, we would always watch this movie. I have so many happy memories from this film and was so excited to find it being sold on Amazon! Annoyingly it's in German and I have to change the country every time I want to watch it, but what a small price to pay for a lifetime of memories (lol). Another great film to pop on your list - the music is pretty nostalgic too! 

So that's my top 4 Christmas movies. Most of them are unchanged from last years post with the small addition of Klaus. Please let me know what you're fave movies are as I would be VERY interested in investigating further myself!
