The Kylie Jenner Lip kit Review!

The moment I have been waiting for has finally arrived!
I was able to get my hands on the Kylie Jenner Lip Kit and I couldn't be happier about it! I was lucky enough to purchase them at the start of February when they were randomly released and sold out in less than 30 minutes. I knew initially when ordering that there was going to be a little wait seeing as I was ordering from the UK. I was impressed with the service though as I had read some reviews of there being hidden costs, but I am happy to share that the price I paid online was all of the costs covered! For anybody ordering from the UK the lip kits come to about £21, which for a lipliner and lipstick works out really affordable. I purchased two kits so together with postage came to £51.42. Right so onto the review...

Can we start off by talking about the gorgeous box that the lip kits come in? I love how well presented it comes and it appears that lots of care, time and effort has gone in to the whole 'Kylie Cosmetics' image. I wasn't expecting it to be as professional looking as it is! My only little worry about the delivery packaging is that it says what products are inside on the front label. This is a little worrying as there were messages of some lip kits going missing! Perhaps this is something they can change to help protect the products seeing how much they are selling for online!

The products come wrapped up nicely in-between two foam sheets which really keep the products secure inside. On top is the iconic Kylie Jenner 'lip' image with a message.

The two colours that I purchased for myself and my brothers girlfriend were Dolce K and Candy K. Both of which were in the original collection launched. My brothers girlfriend had her eye on Dolce K, and I knew that I wanted Candy K from the first moment I saw it! I think Candy K is the classic Kylie lip, so I was excited to try it out! Can we just talk about the boxes? How amazing do they photograph! So perfect for blog photography!

The first thing I noticed when opening the lip kit was how amazing it smells! It smells like candy floss! Both of the lip kits come out true to colour from the tube which is quite often a rare thing when buying a lipstick! One of the best things about this lip kit is how smoothly it applies. The idea of the kit is to line the lips first with the liner and then to fill in the gaps with the liquid lipstick. I have never tried a liquid lipstick before so didn't know what to expect. Initially I thought it was a little bit watery, but after using it for a couple of days I feel this helps the product to spread further and to apply smoothly when turning matte.

I thought I would show how long-lasting the lip kits are so rubbed off the lipstick with my Simple face wipes and found that the liner comes off without much scrubbing, but the lipstick stays put! This can be a good and a bad thing I guess! But for now I love how long lasting it is!

Overall I am so impressed with the Kylie Jenner LipKits. When buying from a 'brand' as big as the Kardashians, you often wonder how much quality has been spared to create a product that millions of people are guaranteed to buy, however this lip kit does feel like effort has been put in. There are a couple of improvements that I think could be made in terms of packaging and consistency but generally it is amazing! I already have my eyes on a couple of the other colours available, but am hoping to get Koko K and Posie when they are next released!

Hope you liked this lip kit review! I loved trying it out!

Let me know if you have tried this out in the comments below!

Ripped Jeans and plaits : Style Diary!

Good afternoon!
I am loving this outfit look again today. I love every single item that I am wearing so much.
I am basically wearing head to toe Topshop again, except for my gorgeous pale pink loafers from Schuh. They are super comfortable and I have been loving them for a while! I tried to do something a little bit different with my hair today as well. I have been experimenting with wearing the dutch braid, but found it hard to do! After about 20 try's I finally managed to get one looking nice in my hair! I also experimented a little with my urban decay makeup palette too.

Hope you enjoyed this post!
Have a lovely rest of your day!

Feeling Nautical : Style Diary

Good evening!
Hope you have all had a lovely day so far!
It's been so cloudy, rainy and windy as well which makes leaving the house unbearable! I have noticed a little theme within my OOTD's that I look like I am dressed for summer, but honestly my house is SO hot for the majority of the time that I don't need to wear a jacket/cardigan until I leave the house. I have been wanting to wear this shirt for a little while now. I bought it in a Zara sale about 2 years ago and never felt confident enough to wear it as it was a little bit too cropped for my liking. (I have only recently started to wear t-shirt's that didn't cover my bottom when wearing jeans!)

I wore my Zara top with my Topshop ripped Jamie jeans and my Schuh loafers. I got these for my birthday last year and haven't really worn them very much since. I found them in the back of my wardrobe and have fallen in love with them all over again!
I spent some time to do my makeup today. I went a little bit over the top for a casual day staying in. But when else is a better time to experiment with makeup! I used my Smoky palette for the first time and LOVE it. I even did the tape trick when applying my eyeshadow which has changed my life!

Hope you have a lovely rest of your day!

Kate Spade 2016 Planner!

Good afternoon!
This blogpost is probably a little bit late, and I should have done this at the beginning of January, but I was really excited to share the beauty that is the Kate Spade 2016 planner. I have always been one of those people who likes to plan everything to every tiny detail. My school planner/homework diary would always be full to the brim of everything clearly labelled out with stickers and highlighters, and I would make sure that things were written down neatly in my very best handwriting! Since leaving school I have always had small diary's but in an attempt to try to plan my life a little bit better I asked for this Kate Spade 2016 agenda for Christmas. I have been speaking to a few people recently about my anxiety and a couple of the tips were to write down things in your diary that you will look at for the week ahead for something to keep your mind on when feeling a little bit down. This has certainly worked for me and is something I really recommend.

So, the front of the diary is cream in colour and has a golden polkadot print all over. It has an elastic fastening which keeps everything nice and secure inside. I don't take this diary out with me, but I can imagine that this is helpful when chucking it into a bag too as the pages won't open so freely and look battered!

As soon as you open the planner you have a little envelope section which is perfect for keeping important pieces of information or notes. This is where I normally keep my pen tucked into so I always have one with me. I currently have a business card from my Topshop personal shopping experience, a letter from my parents at Christmas and a Costco cake form that I am looking at for my 21st birthday! This space is really big and there is also another one of these sections on the next page.  Can we just talk about the gorgeous baby pink and gold colours? Oh my, they are utterly gorgeous!

A nice little feature that the agenda has is that it actually starts from July 2015. So if you are one of those people who like to plan way way in advance then this diary will be for you! If only I knew about this! With that being said the 2016 section does run all the way through till January 2017!

Each month in the agenda is separated with another double page of polka dots. I love that this is a continuing feature throughout the diary. I do love me a polka dot!

At the start of each month there is also an overview of the whole month. So you are able to write down any important information that you might need, as well as smaller less important information. I find that this section is quite good to look at when wanting to remember birthdays in particular as I can go ahead and make lots of cards in advance.

Finally the main weekly section of the diary is absolutely gorgeous as well. There is plenty of space to write down lots of information and the lines are really nicely spaced out. The pages itself are smooth so it's very nice to write on. One thing that I think I will find annoying as the months go on is that if the month before finishes on say a Monday, then that day will be on the next months page. A little bit annoying, but a very minimal feature that I will certainly deal with!

I hope you enjoyed this post!
I know it is a little bit different to what I normally post about!
If you would like another review like this let me know in the comments. I have a weakness for stationary!

Have a lovely rest of your day!

Does anything shout more casual than this outfit?

Sometimes the most easy outfit's are ones that you can just throw on a plaid shirt with! I absolutely love this shirt, it is made out of a soft cotton which feels so comfortable on! I also really love this necklace from Primark that I have been wearing a lot recently.
