Makeup Revolution has been around for a little while now, however I am clearly late to the party as I have only just discovered it! The thing that stood out to me was the rose gold packaging, and a little 'Dupe' sign next to certain products. Over the last couple of days I have seen so many posts from them that I decided to do this little bonus Sunday post sharing my new found love for this brand!
First of all I bought the Flawless 32 ultra professional eyeshadow palette for £8.00. All I can say about the packaging is rose gold galore, and I am not complaining! There is something about rose gold that makes every girl swoon, and I am one of the swooners thats for sure!
Something I will say that I have read about and also experienced myself is that Makeup Revolution pride themselves on their packaging. Not only was the box covered in plastic, but there was a plastic bag over the palette itself as well. They clearly have a sense of pride for their products, and for a cheap price of £8.00 I am very impressed!
Just look at how stunning this palette is. There are so many colours that I know I will wear all the time, and the palette also comes with a full size mirror which is perfect for having in your makeup bag, if it fits! (It will definitely fit in mine, check out that post
HERE) The shades are really pigmented and include similar colours to both my Naked 2 and Naked 3 palettes. I know I am going to love this palette!
So I was sucked in to more rose gold packaging with these velvet lacquers. The velvet lacquers cost £3.00 and I got 'what I believe'. This lipstick goes on as a liquid then dries matte. The 'touch proof and long wearing' bit was what I was the most interested in. Quite often lipsticks that you buy aren't really that touch proof and more smudge proof. But this lipstick does not budge. Even to the extent that I had to really scrub my lips with my makeup remover to get it to come off. The colour is a little brighter than I expected but it was a nice surprise. I think I am going to get so much wear out of this over the summer!
Finally I picked up this lipstick in 'Encore' for a mere £1.00. Out of the three things that I purchased this was the only product which I thought felt cheap. Asides from that for the cheap price I paid, it does the job. It comes out a lot darker than the photo suggests and is more of a berry colour on the lips. I do like the colour, but wished it was less glossy and more matte!
