Fashion : Apricot Clothing SS17 Style Guide*

Anyone that know's me, knows that my favourite season is hands down winter. I love being able to wrap up warm in a cosy coat and scarf combo and I pretty much live in boots from October-February, but for some reason this year I am SO excited for spring! For the first time ever I am actually happy for the beginnings of lighter evenings and all the pretty flowers are making me smile. I also can't wait to actually leave the house without a big coat hiding up an outfit!

A couple of weeks ago I was lucky enough to be asked to work with Apricot clothing on a campaign to share some of the gorgeous items from their new SS17 collection. Apricot clothing is a brand that I have personally been a big fan of for quite a while. The store in my local shopping centre Lakeside, is one that I always make sure I visit. I was excited to see that their online store had just as much to offer so I eagerly choose my items and have put together a couple of looks to show them off! I want to say a big thank you to Apricot for sending me all of these items, I really enjoyed styling them amongst the basic pieces I already had within my wardrobe.

(I apologise now for all of my awkward poses in the pictures below!)

Khaki & Grey Sarasa Print Cold Shoulder Dress | £24
This dress was the first thing that I chose from the website. I loved the simplicity yet relaxed style of the shoulders and thought it would be the perfect dress to transition my wardrobe from winter into spring. This dress looks gorgeous on its own, but I paired mine with a thin rose gold belt from Primark. The belt finishes the look off and makes it look a little more dressed up.

Boots- Pull & Bear
Glasses- Ray-Ban
Necklace- Tiffany

Monochrome Sketch Print Split Back Blouse | £7
The next item that I chose was this gorgeous monochrome sketched blouse. I love pairing a printed blouse with a pair of black jeans as it can pass for formal casual which is a look I go to quite often! I love the back of this blouse also as it makes what could be a simple shirt cute and stylish. This top was in the sale for £7 which was a complete bargain for the quality!

Navy and White Daisy Diamond Print Kimono | £7
I have been looking for a cute kimono that you can just throw on for ages! This one is absolutely perfect and I already know that this is going to become a staple in my wardrobe throughout spring and summer. For this look I paired the Kimono with a pair of ripped jeans and a plain tee. This outfit would be perfect for any casual day, plus it looks super cute with my new Zara bag too!

White Hibiscus Flower Print Bardot Blouse | £22
So I have fallen in love with this gorgeous flower print blouse! As a pale person, and someone who tends to spill food quite regulary, I tend to steer away from white shirts but I have been converted. This gorgeous blouse is in the bardot style so is really flattering when being worn. I love how it looks paired with a simple pair of grey ripped jeans. I have already decided that I will be wearing this exact look for 3 different occasions I have coming up!

Beauty : Lush Mother's Day Haul

A couple of weeks ago I was invited down to my local Lush store to take a look at all of the gorgeous Mother's Day products that are available to buy (make sure you check that post out HERE!). I know that this post is a little belated, but I wanted to share the things I purchased myself from the event, as well as a couple of items that we were gifted for attending.

As soon as we were shown this gorgeous 'MUM' bath bomb in action I knew it was something I wanted to get. This bath bomb smells like sherbet lemons and has a secret message hidden inside, so what's not to love! I bought this for my mum as a early mother's day present, and she loved it as much as I did.

I also couldn't resist this little bumble bee. Aptly named 'Scrubee', this gorgeous little bee is a body butter made up of hydrating honey, cocoa butter, ground almonds and coconut shells. This is a new product for me, so I am excited to get to using this little beauty.

For attending the event, the lovely people at Lush gave each of us a freshly made comforter bubble bar. This is one of the Lush bubble bars that everyone raves about, yet for some reason I had never tried! We were also given the new mouthwash tablets to try which are certainly an interesting product. The idea behind them is that you place it in your mouth take a sip of water and let it dissolve. I was a little bit sceptical, but after a little bit of tingling in the mouth, it really does work!

I couldn't leave the Lush store without picking up one of my all time favourite bath bombs. Frozen is one of the more expensive bath bombs, but there is something quite nice about using it of a Sunday evening when having some down time. If you have never tried this product then make sure you add it to your list, it will certainly not disappoint!

I hope you enjoyed this post, apologies that it's taken so long to put up! Let me know if you have tried any of the Mother's Day collection!

Beauty : New In: Technic Cosmetics*

After hearing many great things on twitter about Technic Cosmetics, I was excited to finally receive some bits in the post to try out for myself. If you've never heard of Technic Cosmetics before then make sure you check them out as they are a great affordable makeup brand with a wide range of high quality products within their collections. As soon as I saw the gorgeous highlighters in my package I knew I was onto a winner, and as you will soon find out in this post they look AMAZING when photographed too!

So let's take a look into some of the products...

Technic Colour Fix Concealer Palette £5.00
This palette consists of 8 blendable and highly pigmented cream concealers. I am always a little bit dubious when it comes to concealer palette's, as quite often it's more difficult to get an accurate match to your proper skin tone, but for once I am actually really impressed with the shades. The different shades work well when blended under the eye as well as in other area's that need a little bit more coverage. It does a fantastic job at covering blemishes as well as dark spots too.

Technic Strobe FX Cream £3.00
This highlighting cream also blends lovely into the skin to give a natural sun-kissed look. It would also make for the perfect summer holiday highlighter, to give the skin a gorgeous evening glow when you want to make an effort without actually making an effort!

Technic Brow Pow £3.99
I will admit, when I first saw this product I had a little laugh to myself. The applicator has a sponge like texture and I couldn't imagine how I would have been able to apply it to my brows without it looking cake or natural. But boy was I wrong! The product applies a little heavy, however the spooly allows you to brush it out to make it appear more natural. Although I am not fully sold on this yet, I will keep testing it and will let you know what I think!

Technic Juicy Stick Lipstick £2.19
I am a big hoarder of lipsticks, and always love trying new ones out! This Juicy Stick lipstick is a gorgeous cranberry shade and has a matte textured finish which makes it long lasting on the lips. I have been wearing this product non stop since I received it last week and it lasts all day long when at uni. I can't wait to buy some more of these as I need them in my life!

 Now onto the highlighters...

So, I was sent two highlighters in the shades Pink Sparkle and 24ct Gold. First of all can we talk about the gorgeous textures and shapes on the surface? It makes them the most perfect thing to photograph, and as you can probably tell I got a little bit carried away with doing so! Both of these highlighters are so pigmented and smooth when blended onto the skin, so it's a little hard to believe that they are priced at £3.49 each! I have also found that 24ct Gold works lovely when applied to the brow bone as well as in the corner of the eye.

Below is a look that I created using the products that I was sent (minus the eyes, where I used my Sweet Peach Palette instead). I am really pleased with this final look. The products look natural and feel really lovely on the skin.

Let me know what you think about Technic Cosmetics! Have you tried anything that you think I would love?

Make sure to also check out Technic on Twitter to stay up to date with all of their new products!

Beauty : Glossybox March 2017

Even after six months, receiving my little Glossybox in the post is by far one of my favourite things. March's edition came right on time, and as usual I was not disappointed. With an incredible February box, (if you haven't seen last months box then make sure you check it out here), March had a lot of work to do to keep up. The theme of March's edit was preparation, which comes at a great time with spring and summer just around the corner. Products included ranged from beauty to hair, and I was so excited to see which Sleek palette I would receive as I missed the email for us to choose!

This month, Glossybox has gone back to its original pink box as which makes a change from the previous months having been switched up a little. So lets take a look inside...

Schwarzkopf Blonde Keratin Restore Bonding Shampoo (Full Size) RRP £13
This was probably the most exciting product in this months box for me. I have been really getting back into swimming over the past couple of months, which has left my hair not feeling as great as it has been. I am hoping that this shampoo can help add some life back into my hair! I love that this is a full sized product as it allows you to really try out the shampoo properly before deciding whether you like it.

Stripped Skincare Rosehip and Mandarin Moisturising Oil RRP £16
This product is a moisturising oil that leaves your skin feeling soft and nourished, oh and it smells amazing too! I will be honest, I haven't really been a fan of skin oils in the past and would much rather choose a cream formula. But, I am excited to give this one a try!

This Works in transit camera close up RRP £30
When I saw that this was in this month's box I was really excited! I have been seeing lots of reviews on this product for the last couple of weeks, and it's supposedly Victoria Beckham's saviour product too! This product is a face primer which balances, plumps and brightens the skin leaving it 'photo perfect', something that I think every girl wants! I can't wait to try it and will let you know what I think!

Oolution eye love (Full Size) RRP £30
This product is another new find for me this month. Created by founder Anne Marie, oOultion was designed to not rely on one or two ingredients, but include lots of nourishment's to smooth and soften the skin. I am never 100% sure when trying out new brands around the eye area, but I will give this a go as well.

Sleek Makeup Eye & Cheek Palette in Dancing till Dusk (Full Size) RRP £10
This was the product that I was the most excited to try this month. In February's box we were given the sneak peek of this palette, and although we were able to choose which one we wanted, I wasn't quick enough so was left in complete surprise to which one I would get. Luckily for me, this was the one that I would have chosen. The shades are quite neutral but allow you to get lots of different looks out of it. The blushes are also gorgeous, and would look love subtly on the cheek bone. The shimmery eye shadows could also double up as a highlight. The palette also comes with two small brushes, one of the eyes and one for the cheeks. Although I would probably not use these when applying the products, it's nice that they have been included as you never know if your going to need them on the go!

Overall, this months Glossybox was another success. There are products that I would never have picked up for myself, but there are also ones that I would have purchased if I had the opportunity too. Let me know what you got this month in the comments below, do you have anything different?
